Live from CNN's Blogomania at Tryst 11/07 05:00 PM CNN's setup is wild - lots of folks whose faces you vaguely recognize, then lots of folks whose blog you recognize. Avarosis is here - whatever you think of his blog, he's a true gentlemen. He and Krempasky and Jerome Armstrong are all sitting near each other. They may talk to the bloggers around 7ish. Every indicator I have says the GOP base turned out. Whether that's enough to hold the House isnt clear; it ought to mean some good news in the Senate races. We're going to see what happens when the GOP base turns out in a tough year; if nothing else, the Republicans have pretty much shot the 40-50-60 seat gain talk all to hell.

Turnout in Virginia is way up; but they didn't have a very contested race in 2004, they did this year. Some precincts were at 80 percent of 2005 shortly after noon. The good news for Allen is that the turnout is as big in Southwest as in the Northern D.C. suburbs.

An exciting night ahead of us...

Either this is going to be a very, very bad night for Republicans, or there needs to be an investigation of exit pollsters. Look at the Corner on NRO...

Anecdote # 1,250:

Extremely heavy turnout at polling today in my town in MA. Had to park at the high school and walk up the hill to town hall to vote. Don't know what this means since the only uncontested race is for governor, with Healey (R) 21 points behind Patrick (D) as of yesterday. Ted "Shamu" Kennedy is running against a token R who is about 90% behind in the polls. Martha "detroy all guns" Coakley is running unapposed for AG. It's pathetic. So why the huge turnout?

His wife works for the DNC. He also broke the DUI story in 2000.

So why the huge turnout?

They're hoping Kerry will beat Bush this time around.
