Subject: Urgent - Election in Jeopardy - Need Your Help!

Dear Supporter,

Would you please do me a favor?

Our internal poll tracking is showing that turnout is light in our key counties. If this trend continues through the rest of the day we may face real trouble. In 2002 we won because of the incredible turnout. Our latest comparison of turnout, shows a decline that could put the election in jeopardy.

I need you to immediately forward this email to 10 of your friends, family, and coworkers and urge them to vote now!

As soon as you have sent the email, please go vote right away.

Thank you and Godspeed,

Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. Governor

Most of the residents are Chinese graduate students so it's pretty quiet and safe.

Unless they live right above you, in which case they may wlel party well into the night.

I called the Ehrlich campaign and the person who answered the phone (who may or may not know anything) did say the email was authentic.

Having said that, I was at Howard Co HQ and we are very busy and the talk is that turnout in Carroll and Howard is up and Baltimore City is light.

Further, watching the news coverage of the final rallies, Ehrlich said we will win and win big and O'malley never mentioned winning.

I conclude, that we are ahead and winning and this email was poorly written.

The only thing that concerns me is that O'Malley's party is at the hippodrome which is a first class place along with Ehrlich's being at the Hyatt which is also first class. In other words, both sides are expecting a big party. Often, a loser has a modest place for a party and that is not the case on either side.

Sounds phony big time. Dems trying to make him sound desperate.

As phony as a Freeper knee-jerk?

My polling place is busier than 2004. I'm in central Anne Arundel County in a moderately-Republican district.

My wife and I went at different times, and we both had a short wait to vote, which didn't happen to us in 2004.

Personally, I think enough people are going to ask themselves "do I want O'Malley to do to the state what he's done to Baltimore" that Ehrlich will win easily.

Not stopping me from voting or encouraging others to though. Even if this were "in the bag", I want the margin to be as high as possible.

"But if turn out is low in Red counties, we could have a problem."

Turn out appeared to be strong based on what I saw this morning.

As of 3 p.m., voter turnout in Baltimore City was reported to be about 28%.

I am not sure what this means in the grand scheme of things but it's obviously higher than the 11am 10% number reported.
