Tell us what you saw today at your voting place.
That is true,
I believe the names of registered poll watchers is a matter of public record.
I voted at 9:30am this morning, and the place was almost empty..no waiting.
Our State is in danger of going back to the Rats. I'm HOPING the light turnout signals the RATS are so confident that they are staying home :)

Voter update in west Central Missouri.Just got back from voting .MASSIVE turn out so far. I was #552. I am one of the local committe men and at this point it is a bigger turnout than the 2004 election.
The true National Treasurer isn't the map on the back but the words on the front!
The old man wasn't really interested in his name just who he worked for. The watcher had said that he was working for one of the parties but that's all he could say.
The poll workers defended him and said people working inside the polling place weren't allowed to identify themselves by party.
Personally I think the old guy is right. Watchers should wear a tag saying who they are and who they work for.
Waited until 9 to allow for farmers with jobs to vote before their commute. (I have off today). Then went into town and received a shocker. There was a poll worker under 70! He was in his early twenties and was showing people how to work the new electronic voting machines. (It has a paper receipt that you can see printing behind a plastic window recording a backup copy.)
I saw no problems with the electronic machine and it's back up. Thought it was a good step forward.
I was voter 249 for the day. The polls opened at 6:00AM. The poll worker said that turnout was very good and so far about 1/3 of the registered voters in the precinct had already voted.
To register to vote, a birth certificate or passport is required. To vote you must show a card that is mailed to all registered voters. To remain registered you must vote in every general election.
Good for you! I would advise that you get to the polls to vote ASAP. It DOES count. I promise they will have you on the right list next election. Sometimes it takes awhile.
I will take a older and retired person anyday over the dense college age looking gal that signed me in to vote today. Told her my name 3 times, even my first name for her once and she still pointed to the wrong name for me to sign in under.
The last time I "voted" in Manhattan was at the 78th & York precinct. They looked thru that huge, sloppy, handwritten roll book and discovered - shock - that my card had been lost. I filled out a paper ballot, knowing that this would probably be lost as well. As I walked out, I saw trampeled paper ballots on the floor...
Savor each and every day Jonah; always stop and smell the roses; as you already know, time seems to fly when we get distracted by a lot of trivial things that don't really matter all that much. (You're still a spring chicken, but take care of yourself!)
No, like Jonah, you're still a spring chicken. . just be sure to not sweat the small stuff and enjoy every day. Eat carrots and don't worry - be happy.
I voted in my small polling place which is heavily Republican, I always ask how the turnout is and the answer usually is pretty slow/light.
Today they told me turnout was pretty good, so that was an encouraging sign.
Well, my "seasoned citizen" couldn't even find my name, although I spelled it out four times...I had to take the book and show her myself!
LOL, but Hildy, it's not like you married a man with the surname of Smith!
I know! BUT I SPELLED IT....OVER AND OVER..
LOL-LOL-LOL
I couldn't spell it right now if my life depended on it. I'd have to go look in my address book. Wait --- I think I have you listed under your maiden name! LOL. I have it somewhere......
Coast of Maine..heavy turnout. Longer lines than in 2004. We have 'Tabor' on the ballot...dems. have the sheep scared shi#less.
