Chavez, as in Hugo

Hugo Chavez is going to make a new Communist block right in our backyard that has been his gole and he will go through one week country after another, with not a peep from the MSM.

Mexico is next they just missed it by an few votes this time. After Mexico then California! Really with a few hundred million dollars and a "Progressive" Democrat we will be on our way.

Picture million man marches in CA sponsored by the new Governor. Then Arizona? This is a real problem and need some real leadership to stop it. So far we have got none.

There wasn't a huge difference between the Sandinistas and those they replaced.

If he doesn't get 50% then there's a runoff election in which case the 60% will band together and defeat Ortega once again. In fact, if history is any sign, it will probably be greater because some people who sat out this time will realize Ortega's still a possibility and will do what's needed. It should be said though that Ortega has played this campaign like the DemoncRATs have here in the US, putting up phony "conservative" candidates.

He only needs 35% and to be 5% clear of his nearest rival to win.

Democracy's a bitch. Unless he proves otherwise we need to engage him with an open mind. Their voters have spoken.

I agree, and I saw a report that he'd found God...so perhaps he's a changed individual...probably still a socialist, but if the people honestly chose that it is a choice they will have to live with or vote in non-socialists in the future.

The Colombians would prefer if we spelled the name of their country correctly.

He supported the recent law to ban all abortions even those of rape and incest victims and pregnancies that threaten the life of the mother.

Let's face it, voters are stupid and non-thinking. That's why democratic societies don't last. Whatever, I don't care anymore.

I'd heard that. Won't that be a fun little factoid to throw back at some of the looney left who will no doubt fall on their knees to worship him just out of habit?

There's a good example of what happens when there are multiples parties running for office, you get a Marxist. None the less, 40% voted for him.

Elected like Clinton with FAR less than 50% of the vote because a third party was in the mix.

They get that close.... then I think we'll need a fence along the Arizona border with Mexico AND California.
