I'm in Culinary Arts at a local college, going for a degree. I've been making bagels from scratch all this last week for caterings. I've done 4 varieties: Plain, Cinnamon Raisin, Garlic, and Parmesean. They've been received quite well. I plan on making more later this week at home.

CNN International back on, "we're awaiting the verdict ..."

I know and I have hated every minute of it but I didn't pay attention at all.
Now a repeat of Hannity and Homely... the McCain segment is the best --- aside from POTUS at the end of the show.

You can actually do an apple quesadilla, really good if you lightly fry it, add a little cinnamon, glass of Brandy :-)

I'm cooking the very same!!!! And ya know what? I hate turkey and cooking them. No the prime rib, YUM! Gonna actually do 2 stuffings, 1 normal for my bland Irish family and a jalapeno cornbread w/sausage for the rest of us.

Are you thinking apple enchiladas?
I don't have any flour tortillas but I could make one real quick.

I've thought about soy milk because I really miss being able to eat cereal as a snack or for dinner. What does soy milk taste like?It tastes just like chicken. (just kidding) I can't really describe it but it is really good. I was born and raised in Wisconsin and I'm a milk-a-holic, so for me to think it was good is saying something huge and series. LOL My son brought me some soymilk that he buys in Anchorage and it was vanilla flavored soymilk. The stuff I get here in our po-dunk town is just the plain kind and I like it fine. They also have chocolate soy-milk and that was deeeelicious.

The bagels sound wonderful --- especially the garlic and the parmeasean. YUM.

Do you have a Luby's Cafeteria close to you? Their cornbread stuffing is the best. Nope .. never heard of them before
Wonder if I can order something online .. there has got to be a site that would deliver a home cooked thanksgiving day meal :0)

Nope, actual apple quesadilla. I have not made one in forever, but they are real simple. Just stuff it, you can warm it in the over or fry it in a little butter. Lady in Tijuana used to make them around Christmas, they were good.

Buñuelos!
(Altho I like them better made from just plain pie pastry with the cinnamon and sugar in it, then baked, rather than made from tortillas and fried, but to each his own!)
