BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraq's prime minister on Saturday urged his countrymen to accept the impending verdict against Saddam Hussein without violence, then in the next breath declared the former dictator must get "what he deserves" with the decision that could send him to the gallows.

The only just verdict is death. No way should this man be able to plot and plan from his prison cell.

Regardless of the outcome, they will complain about something.
In most cases, I tend to oppose capital punishment, but their 'Awwww man, like, you're solving killing with killing' and 'another loss of human life in the Iraq war' BS grows really tiresome.

The appeals process has been part of Iraqi law even under Hussein; he just chose to ignore it. I think he pretty much ignored the whole judicial process.

If Saddam gets to wait 3 years before his hanging...can we at least make him wait in the HOLE we found him in??

And now that same process that he ignored will (hopefully) send him to his 72 virgins.

I just recall someone posting a picture of a guillotine, and captioned it 'Send him to the Tookie Cutter'.

I think the Iraqi law takes precedence over the American appeals process.
