The British developer of the world wide web says he is worried about the way it could be used to spread misinformation and "undemocratic forces".

The web has transformed the way many people work, play and do business.

But Sir Tim Berners-Lee told BBC News he feared that, if the way the internet is used is left to develop unchecked, "bad things" could happen.

"detailed accounts of Iraq's secret nuclear research; a 'basic guide to building an atom bomb'... Officials of the International Atomic Energy Agency fear the information could help Iran develop nuclear arms..."

Apparently Iraq had a secret nuclear research, despite what CIA and Wilson said. Wonder if they will mention jveritas and FR.

How did Karl Rove convince them to run this hit piece? Rove You Magnificient Bastard !

"Website now shut... Developing... "

A while ago there was a suggestion on FR to download the DoD documents on local servers, just in case they shut down the site, anybody knows the status of the project, if it ever got off the ground?

Okay, this will hurt Republican candidates how?

If Saddam had such hot nuke tech, then it bolsters the need for the invasion, i.e. Bush was right!

Are these the same clowns who said Iraq didn't have any WMDs?

Holy crap! the NYT does not realize how badly they have just stepped in it. One can conclude three things from this. 1) Iraq was much further along in their nuke program than was reported if it had plans that would be beneficial to Iran. 2)If the inadvertent releasing of information that helps our enemies is so bad, then how can the purposeful releasing of classified information that helps our enemies, (ie. NSA, SWIFT, etc.) be a good thing?Sloppiness is one thing, treason is quite another. 3) The IAEA is useless, and with NK and Iran running to the bomb, we can once again conclude that we cannot rest on the U.N. This is going to bite them in in the butt!

PINCH:
I have a great idea! You know those documents the military captured in Iraq and posted on the web to support their case for war? Let's make a story out of the possibility those documents are helping Iran build their bomb!

UNDERLING:
Umm...Mr. Sulzberger...if we do that...

PINCH:
You Worm! What are you saying? I don't pay your salary to have you disagree with me!

UNDERLING:
But Mr. Sulzberger, if we do that...we have to go against the talking points and style book, which require us to say that Saddam never had WMD and never pursued them...

PINCH:
That's it! Sack him. And get me a double mocha latte.

Forward this reply regarding the New York Times article to all our side of the media if you can and whenver you can:

"Saddam was not supposed to keep any documents related or the Know How of how to make WMD whether its Chemical Weapons, biological weapons, or nuclear weapons. If Saddam regime kept such documents of the "Know How" to build a nuclear weapon then they clearly violated the UN sanctions against them and it proves without any shadow of doubt that they wanted to rebuild their nuclear program".

Regards; jveritas.

Yeah and I can find how to make ricin on the web as well. So? What a bunch of crap. But the MSM will fawn over this as though it were a bombshell.

Wow!!! What an utter INDICTMENT of the mainstream media for ignoring this information for the past THREE YEARS. This is a GOLDMINE of an admission of incompetence and bias on the part of the mainstream media, but I doubt it will be reported that way.

Bottom line: This will help vindicate what the President has been saying all along. We should all thank the NY Times for finally doing its job.

What's that, New York Times?

Iraq had a nuclear program all along? And George Bush did nothing to stop it?

I guess he was too busy removing Saddam from power and preventing him from getting WMD that he had no time to focus on what was really important in the region, like ah, removing Saddam from power and preventing him from getting Weapons of Mass Destrution. Now, wait a minute...

the iranians, with millions and probably billions in money available to fund nuclear science and research, AND with the assistance of a host of bad nations, including Russia, China, North Korea, and at one time Libya, AND with active centrifuges working or in stages of development, had no idea how to actually develop a nuclear device UNTIL the US put up some captured iraqi drawings.......

This is really absurd. Iran got their info from A.Q. Khan. He must have known how to build a bomb, his worked for Pakistan. It's not "know how" the Iranians lack, it's fissionable material.
