Prosecutors Eye Ann Coulter Voting Probe
Conservative columnist Ann Coulter has refused to cooperate in an investigation into whether she voted in the wrong precinct, so the case will probably be turned over to prosecutors, Palm Beach County's elections chief said Wednesday.Elections Supervisor Arthur Anderson said his office has been looking into the matter for nearly nine months, and he would turn over the case to the state attorney's office by Friday.Coulter's attorney did not immediately return a call Wednesday. Nor did her publicist at her publisher, Crown Publishing.Knowingly voting in the wrong precinct is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.Anderson's office received a complaint in February that Coulter voted in the wrong precinct during a Feb. 7 Palm Beach town council election.

Is this the same DA that went after Rush?
I did that once. I dealt with it quickly--in about two weeks, all told.
Ann Coulter's attorney has been refusing to communicate with the DA's office for nine months.
BTW, she also gave out a strawman address (her real estate agent's).
If they had a voter id requirement Ann's error would have been caught at the polling place before she voted.
The thread title is mine .
The NewsMax article's title is posted with the excerpt .
In general, the precinct has a list of those designated for that precinct. If you're not on the list, you should vote by "challenge" ballot.
If the voting board puts you in the wrong precinct, and tells you to vote in that precinct (say, by mailing), and you vote there, whose fault is this?
I don't understand how one can vote, non-challenge, in the "wrong" precinct. But I'm slow on some of these things.
Yeah, it's a pain in the neck for me, too - it's a cute rule, though - of course the anti-Coulter rule is ghastly, that's where "Puppage" posts a pic at every mention of Helen Thomas.
All she has to do is complain that she accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan.
I don't know the story, whether she accidentally voted in the wrong precinct or not -- and if so, how it happened. But it is sooo laughable that these people who wanted to change real votes AFTER THE FACT AND WITH NO DIRECT PROOF OTHER THAN DISLIKE FOR THE OUTCOME.... on the premise that "I accidentally voted for Pat Buchanan" and who also wanted to change the election laws to accomdate all sorts of "mistakes" by dumb voters....would go to these lengths over another simple mistake, if the mistake was even made.
and the ironic point is the the Left-wing DemoCRATS politicians will also be replaced with all Hispanics whom has no allegiance to anything that is America whether Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Progressive (liberal).
I would be more concerned if Anne had tried to vote 3 or 4 times in different precincts....but if she voted once and was confused about which precinct she should have voted in, then at most she should clarify her address and if a mistake was made...at most they should nullify her votes in that particular election.
I could see Anne not wanting to initially co-operate until she and her lawyers can get a handle as to where all the crap is coming from. Sounds like mountains are being made out of mole-hills here....From what I've read from Anne however is that she is devestating as an infighter. She may have something up her sleaves and the local Dem's had better watch their steps!
According to the full story from yesterday, Ann's attorney asked to meet personally with the election chief to get the matter straightened out, but the election chief insisted that everything be in writing. Since Ann and her attorney are disgusted by the leaks to the press that apparently came from this scumbag Anderson and/or his election board, they effectively told him to go play in the street.
It is yet to be seen if the DA will bother with this.
(And that's why I don't like the grossly inaccurate title of this thread.)
She lives in New York. This is just a Democrat dirty trick.
If she were a Democrat who lives in New York and votes in Palm Beach, we'd be demanding her head on a pike.
As he has the authority to do.
Since Ann and her attorney are disgusted by the leaks to the press that apparently came from this scumbag Anderson and/or his election board, they effectively told him to go play in the street.
So what is Ann hiding?
Cut it out.
Why should I? Is it too much to ask that the election laws be enforced?
We rightfully demand that "snowbirds" refrain from voting in Florida if they're domiciled in New York, and vice versa; we rightfully demand that the practice of busing "voters" around to multiple precincts be ended, and that penalties for voting in the wrong precinct be applied firmly.
The price tag of demanding that others adhere to the law is that one must obey the law or accept the consequences of not obeying it.
I don't know but I'd like to peek.
You get turned on by #2 pencils?
