The "bombshell" revelation from last April's National Intelligence Estimate (NIE), which was leaked to the New York Times in September, was that the war in Iraq had resulted in more terrorism, not less. As reported by United Press International's Claude Salhani, "Did we really need 16 intelligence agencies to tell us that? Ten minutes of watching the newscast of your choice, from Al-Jazeera to Fox News, would be enough to convince most observers." But the key question is why the war has provoked the global Jihad.

One answer has to be the influence in the Arab world of the America-
hating network Al-Jazeera. The AIM DVD on "Terror Television" shows film footage of captured terrorists saying they came to Iraq to kill Americans because of the words and images on Al-Jazeera.

Iran ready to supply Lebanon with anti-aircraft arms

TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran is prepared to supply anti-aircraft weaponry to the Lebanese armed forces, its ambassador to Beirut has been quoted as saying. ADVERTISEMENT

"Iran is ready to supply modern anti-aircraft arms to Lebanon," said Iranian ambassador Mohammad Reza Sheibani after talks with Lebanon's army chief Michel Sleiman in Beirut late on Saturday.

The United States accuses Iran of supplying arms and financial support to its Hezbollah allies but Tehran vehemently denies the allegations.

Hezbollah fought a month-long war against Israel earlier this year that was marked by deadly Israeli airstrikes on targets in Lebanon but the Lebanese army largely stood on the sidelines.

The army has since said it was in market for anti-aircraft and anti-tank weaponry.

According to the state-run IRNA dispatch from Beirut Sunday, Sheibani also called on "Lebanese political groups to maintain their unity to foil plots" of Iran's arch-enemies Israel and the United States.

His comments came as Lebanese politicians were to return to roundtable talks on Monday to discuss a possible change of government amid threats to resort to the streets by both Hezbollah and the anti-Syrian parliamentary majority.

Meanwhile, Iran rejected claims by the United States that there was mounting evidence Iran, Syria and Hezbollah were preparing plans to topple the government of Lebanon.

"These are repetitive allegations and without foundation. Iran supports the independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon," said foreign ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Hosseini.

A Sunday Telegraph investigation has revealed the B-7 type rocket launchers, also known as RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades, are being offered for sale on the black market for between $15,000 and $50,000.

Four chapters in the book dedicated to Islam and a small portion of one chapter to Christianity

Certainly part of the reason so many children are being home-schooled. Force feeding our nation's youth the gay agenda, Islam and an anti-Christian mindset equates to an education system that has severely gone to hell in a handbasket IMHO. No child left behind is geared for non-achievers whose parent(s) are inadequate and to whom responsibility for the most basic of manners and respect must be taught by the teachers. The federal government insisting on political correctness on top of that is an overload that affects all involved (and contributes to school violence).

Yemen court acquits 19 men of plotting terror against U.S.

Nov. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- A Yemeni appeals court on Saturday acquitted 19 suspected al-Qaeda members on terrorism charges. But six of the men were convicted on lesser charges of possessing forged documents.
The defendants, including five Saudis, had been accused of plotting attacks against U.S. interests in Yemen on behalf of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the former al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, who was killed in June.

Thanks Cindy. Feeling very sorry for those who have no option but to send their children to our nation's public schools. There are many excellent teachers (like Ex-Soldier), but there are just as many, if not more, attempting to use our educational system as a platform to indoctrinate children to a liberal lifestyle. Is it coincidence the recent multitude of young female teachers having inappropriate relationships with young male students or does it signify a complete overhaul is in order pronto?

More important than many other educational topics is the need to teach patience, respect for the personal property of others, respect for elders, respect for law enforcement, respect for their own bodies (what they wear, how they are perceived and how it will influence their futures) and respect for those placed in charge of teaching our nation's youth (and the right to question teachers who abuse the trust of young student's).

The recent "need" for America's advertisers to use rap music in many of their presentations is appalling. Seeing women shaking their "moneymakers" on TV is nothing less than disgusting, especially when noted by impressionable young children.

Today we received a thick Sunday newspaper - filled with "holiday" ads. Only one retailer using the word "Christmas" repeatedly throughout. When we shop for gifts this week, we'll be spending it all at THAT retailer's store. Retailers, like school personnel, have an obligation IMHO to present classy ads and influence our nation's youth in the very best way possible.

Thousands demonstrate in Mexican city

OAXACA, Mexico — Thousands of anti-government demonstrators marched through this tense colonial city on Sunday, demanding the security forces abandon camps they set up last week to end a five-month protest.

Masked police officers clutching automatic weapons watched the protesters from rooftops as they marched to a plaza about a block away from the encampments, yelling "Get out federal police!"

The leaders then formed a human chain to keep the crowd of 20,000 from confronting police, but about 400 people broke through and attacked the officers with stones and bottles. Some of the police lobbed rocks back, while officers on rooftops used sling shots to shoot marbles at those trying to confront the police.

Reports: Three explosions in Mexico City at federal electoral tribunal, party headquarters, bank

Three simultaneous explosions occurred late Sunday night in Mexico City, destroying an entrance at the headquarters of a leading political party and apparently affecting the Federal Electoral Tribunal and a bank branch.

The government news agency Notimex said there were no immediate reports of injuries.

Mexico City Fire Department official Daniel Flores told The Associated Press that authorities were responding to the scene, but he had no additional information.

At the headquarters of the former ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, the entrance to an auditorium located on one side of the building had been destroyed, its door blown out, according to an Associated Press photographer at the scene.

Chunks of concrete, shattered glass and the concrete bust of former Mexican President Plutarco Elias Calles, the PRI's founder for whom the auditorium is named, lay scattered on the ground. There appeared to be little damage immediately inside the building.

Police investigators used flashlights to sift through the rubble, but declined to talk to the news media.

A PRI representative told radio station Formato 21 the explosions were probably carried out by groups trying to destabilize the government before President-elect Felipe Calderon's swearing-in on Dec. 1. Calderon is a member of the ruling National Action Party of President Vicente Fox.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "TWO SENIOR AMERICAN INTELLIGENCE OFFICIALS met with India's foreign secretary last week. While the meeting received scant attention in the States, it was big news in India. According to Indian press accounts, the role Pakistan's intelligence service (the ISI) played in the July 11, 2006 Mumbai train bombings, which killed roughly 200 people, was one of the subjects discussed.

That India implicated Pakistan in the bombings is no surprise. Senior Indian officials have repeatedly tied the 7/11 bombings to the ISI. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh recently told reporters that there was "credible evidence" implicating the ISI. India's National Security Advisor offered a more nuanced account. M K Narayanan explained: "I would be hesitant to say we have clinching evidence. There are pieces in the puzzle missing, but I would say we do have petty good evidence [of ISI involvement]."

The ISI has used Islamist terrorists as part of its proxy war against India for decades. But it was hoped that peace talks with India would provide Pakistan with an incentive to limit, if not altogether close down, the operations of terrorists targeting India and Indian assets in Kashmir. If the 7/11 plot is conclusively traced back to the ISI, it would signal that there is little hope of Pakistan reining in terrorism.

For its part, Pakistan has denied any role in the bombings, dismissing the allegations as "propaganda." The Pakistani government also recently reaffirmed its commitment to a peace accord with India. But these matters are not nearly as clear cut as Pakistan's diplomatic pronouncements. It may be the case that the upper echelon of the Pakistani government, including President Musharraf, had no prior knowledge of, or direct role in, the Mumbai attack. Musharraf was quick to condemn it. But the ISI has long operated as a state within a state."
