You and me both! I can't wait to hear what the Sunday talk show idiots have to say! Kerry stepped in it big time!

(4) This is not the first, but third, time he has denigrated soldiers in the middle of a war.... This was what I thought when I first read Kerry's remark. It's not the first time he's slandered the military. And probably not the last though, no doubt, he'll try to weasel out of it yet again whenever he does it.

Oh, you're right. My bad. There is a bumper sticker that says, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could." He moved to Texas as a toddler with his parents.

Personally I think it's just PR. An attempt to combat the bad PR they got during the Viet-Nam war.

Lets not forget Zell Miller's beautiful 2004 zinger about our military having to fight using "SPITBALLS", since JFK,The Lesser, voted against most,if not all,of the weapons and systems in use by our military today.

We should be calling Kerry's office and demanding he resign.
Call toll free and ask for Kerry's office:

Has Kerry ever had a real job, i.e., not working for the government? My Daddy told me never to trust a man who has never met a payroll. VDH was right...the only "success" Kerry has was marrying rich women. What a putz.

I know Kerry's claiming he intended to make a "joke" that Pres. Bush is stupid and uneducated and that's why we're in Iraq, but I don't see that calling our president stupid is any better than calling our troops stupid. The former is really childish, the latter is really offensive - neither would be much of a "joke."

That this dark and negative man could even have been considered to be worthy of the Presidency is appalling!
Thanks to the person who emailed E. D. Hill moments ago, pointing out that if, as Kerry insisted, his ill-chosen words were intended to be a derogatory joke directed at the President (my words), then perhaps it is time for the media to focus on the fact that Kerry's GPA at Yale was lower than the President's. That may be an even worse gaffe on his part.
Thanks, also, to E. D. for reading the email on FoxNews!
Bet there'll be no such factual comparison of the learning performance records of Kerry & the President on the MSM.

Almost, but not quite.

We should be calling Kerry's office and demanding he resign. With respect, I disagree. We should be calling Kerry's office and urging him to "stand firm" and to keep making public statements explaining his comment. Think about it... /grin

Don't forget the bike suit and snowboarding. All on Teresa's (i.e. John Heinz's) dime!John Heinz is to be posthumously commended - What better way to use his wealth to bring down the Democrat Party than to invest it in John Kerry's candidacy...?

The libs really and truly believe that President Bush is below them intellectually, an ignoramus. When this proves to not be true, they are at a total loss. It has been a long time tactic of the left, almost a hallmark of their strategy, to present themselves as brilliant and the opposition as dunces.
Hillary and Bill are the smartest people in the world. Reagan is a second rate B movie actor. Bush is an idiot.
Further back Eisenhower was a dim bulb general and Adlai Stevenson was an intellectual giant. Fulbright and McGovern were geniuses and Nixon and Goldwater were barely mediocre.
It is a predictable pattern, just as is their election strategy of lauditory media articles for their side, polls to support the predictions of victory, more polls to support those. exit polls to cement the image, demand a recount after the loss, go to court to overturn the election, then scream and protest the loss until the next election. Repeat.

Very well said! As a reservist, I have had enlisted troops that were the CEO's of successful businesses, had graduate level degrees, etc. It is kind of funny, and reminds me of the Willie & Joe cartoons of WWII, when I would see a bunch of O-4's, -5's and -6's sitting around getting stock tips and investing advice from an E-5!!!
I'd also like to mention the number of "dumb GI's" that got Bachelors and Graduate degrees on the GI Bill, often while on active duty at the same time!
Finally, while I was on active duty, both as an E and an O, the ingenuity of the average "dumb" enlisted soldier, sailor, airman, etc. needs to be seen to be believed! My background was in aviation and these "dumb" troops would find ways to keep our planes flying that were absolutely amazing. I'd like to see that POS Kerry and the other Democratic elitists try to get a piece of machinery running with no parts and the wrong tools out in the middle of the frikkin' desert! They don't teach you that in Harvard.
