I'm looking for today's 2:45 presser from Kerry but upthread a freeper mentioned that YouTube isn't showing the press conference.

AGAIN, top of the Hour Fox News opening with...Kerry was attacking the Prez..NOT the troops with his comment yesterday...WTF?!! What the heck is going on over at Fox radio News?
To: bwteim
I have looked again at that longer clip on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT0OE0tuA1AIMO, he was going to somehow put Bush into his "education" remark, lost his train of thought or was distracted, read from his notes, and fixated on the punch line "you get stuck in Iraq". That's what makes his press conference and explanation so painfully delightful. He couldn't fess up. A totally lame and botched attempt at sarcasm. And a great reminder why we should not have liberals in charge.
Well what do you expect from Mr. "I voted for the War before I voted against it"?
The same guy who calls his fellow soldiers a group of thugs likened to Ghengis Khan and then neverendingly reminds people that he served in Vietnam and therefore would NEVER put the troops down?

If they're hysterical over this, well, Wednesday is going to be even better.
How about cake next Wednesday? We'll have candles and everything!

Excuse me? I was quoting JFKerry's comments. Off base, incoherent statement ... from you, too.

Kerry blew it by having this press conference. If he hadn't, the MSM would have let it die. Now they HAVE to cover it.

Abelman,
First and foremost, thank you for your service.
Secondly, Welcome to FR...and great email to JF'nK.

I noticed a lone guy standing behind and to our left of Shep a few minutes before Duncan Hunter came on.
I thought it unusual that someone unconnected to the program would be in camera view. Maybe he had something to do with the abrupt departure.

If he's claiming that's what he intended to say, he's flat-out lying.
Kerry, lying? Cmon! Don't forget, he voted for the war before he voted against it.

If you look at the longer clip, it's clear he realized he went over the line with his swipe at the troops. Two people laughed, and then dead silence. So instead of continuing with the one-liners, he tried to make a serious statement about Iraq.
Of course, he was then distracted by some bright shiny object, complemented himself and Ted Kennedy for being such wonderful Senators, and then got an applause line out of the crowd by complementing Boxer and Feinstein.
At least he didn't cap it off with, "And then we're going to go to MINNESOTA, and WASHINGTON, and NEBRASKA, and CALIFORNIA... YEEEEEAAAGH!!!"

McCain made the mildest criticism of Kerry. Saying that we all misspeak and Kerry should apologyze and move on.
Kerry comes out attacking McCain. Says McC ought to ask for an apology from Rumsfeld and the President for not sending enough troops to Iraq.
Kerry is trying desperately to change the subject.

Fox News TV just mentioned that the stock market surged after Kerrys meltdown, today. Before that, it was falling due to the horrible war news. News that we're losing, all is bad....

He said that REAL man would debate...Well if he botched up the joke...REAL man apologize and move on! He's such a lying doofus!
To: armymarinemom
Really, I can't believe that I didn't break my TV!:O)
On the bright side, two major screwups from the Rats today: Kerry making things worse for himself and the Rats and this goofball Tom Connolly getting himself arrested down along Rt. 295 in South Portland dressed as OBL carrying a fake AK47 and fake grenades.
If the rest of the week goes like this... Keep your fingers crossed.
