Kerry is scheduled to campaign tomorrow for Bob Casey in PA and attend a "veterans rally" for Tim Waltz in MN.
Will the candidates still want Kerry to campaign for them? I would think they would. The nutjobs loved this "being a man" speech.

I was pretty surprised that Brit downplayed the fact that we all just witnessed a mentally disturbed man who wants to be president.
I've never in my life seen a United States politician have such a public meltdown and sound like such an ass.

Yes, I agree the first statement could be excused to some minor degree on fatigue and so forth, but the defense today is totally without any excuse at all. He must want out of public life. I do not imagine he will either continue his Presidential quest or, even, his Senatorial career.

One of those Vets that Kerry has been campaigning for, Patrick Muprhy, has debated six times with Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick, and Fitzpatrick has cleaned his clock every time. Curt Weldon has debated Joe Sestak too, and beaten him like a drum. George Allen has not shied away from debating Jim Webb. I don't know what the hell Kerry is talking about when he says Republicans are afraid to debate veterans. It's a nice soundbite but the facts say otherwise. That one is easily debunked and will make him look even stupider.
The only candidates I know of anywhere who have limited debates with their opponents are Bobby Casey Jr. and Hillary Clinton.

I don't think she was trying to cover for Kerry, just asking a question.

I would have given Kerry the benefit of the doubt, but it is this statement, combined with his previous statements about the military that make his explanation bogus. And you know that EVERY appearance he makes is videotaped. If he made this joke before, you think they would have run down tape of it by now and had it ready for this press conference.

As giddy as the GOP base must feel over Kerry's debacle, this event is not a guarantee of the Pubs holding power come November 8th. The moral to this story is that possibly it has stopped Democratic election momentum.
We still have to crawl through broken glass and vote en masse on November 7th.

but he is the only Republican that is completely untouchable on military issues. Only? Congressman Duncan Hunter just announced his intention to explore a 2008 run. He served in Vietnam in the 173rd Airborne and the 75th Army Rangers., his name-sake son, a Marine, first served in Iraq in 2003.

The military won't forget. Ever.
And if the GOP doesn't say that Kerry represents the Democrat's mindset and turn out a 24 hour commercial using Kerry's words, then we really are the idiot party.

I think Kerry's doing enough. We don't even have to say anything, all we have to do is let Kerry talk.

Well, I don't agree. I WOULD piss on Kerry if he was on fire - just not enough to put the fire out.
