Well if that's not true I wonder why he himself said he was?

"I refuse to watch the Oprah, so you'll have to enlighten me."

This was the first time in my life to watch Oprah, and I only watched it out of curiosity. I expected to see a "Daniel in the lions den" routine with moon bats in full attack, and the audience was full of liberals sprouting their usual talking points, but Bill acquitted himself nicely.

Bill should take his show on the road more often. Liberals just don't know how to act when their baseless "talking points" are countered with irrefutable facts, as Bill did today.

I wouldn't say he verbally abused them. He called it like it was.
The one guy tried to act like a moderate, then started bashing Fox News. Bill slammed him then as a Fox hater. End of story.
I was happy the 2 black guys who spoke up were both on the side of traditional Americans. Gives me a reason to hope that maybe the rats absolute clutching grip on that community may be slipping a bit.

I heard him say it on his radio show in response to a caller.

I have never heard him say that --- he says he is an Independent.

You know what the bottom line with Oprah is? She's a failure. A big, fat failure. How many diets did she fail at? At one point, Oprah had her chef living with her because she didn't trust herself to stay on some crazy diet. Not married. Been dating totally homosexual Stedman forever. No kids. Proud of her abortion, aged 13 yrs. Says she was raped. The mother packed her off to the father very soon afterward. To outrun a very bad reputation. The very last time I ever watched that show was the one where she broke down and started talking about this...totally stealing the limelight from a real teen aged rape victim who was sitting on the stage. Oprah got up, walked over to the side of the audience and did her "confession" Everybody loved Oprah. I saw what a cheap stunt whore she really was..

Seriously, other than duping stupid women who somehow manage to watch that show every day, what is the big deal about Oprah? She's rich? So what? If she goes to Ireland and adopts a poor white celebrity fad child, I might take some of this back:)

I'm not a big O'Reilly fan. It's just his personality gnaws at me. HOWEVER, he is a great asset to the right, not the extreme right, but the moderate right. I have so many friends who I don't discuss politics with because I know it's not as important to them as it is to me (believe it or not), and by and large they all like O'Reilly. I vistied our neighbors downstairs and I have no idea what their politics are. But right there on the dining room table was O'Reilly's new book (good, I can borrow it instead of buying it!) They like a bit of moderation, and O'Reilly provides that. But all in all, he's on our side and I'm glad that middle of the roaders are watching him and not Matthews or any of the other nighttime cable shows.

He rants against "progressive Denocrats" --- he definitely leans right, but calls himself Independent, and he is Independent. For example, he believes in global warming.

Well, I heard it several years ago and it was one of those statements that when I heard it I still remember where I was at the time.

I like him, and dare I say you're a lot like him! You speak your mind but you do it from an informed point of view and you take a lot of heat here, just like the heat he takes for speaking his mind. I don't always agree with you or with O'Reilly, but by golly, I like him and love you.

The big deal about her is that she has a media empire like no other person on earth. Her influence over her audience unprecedented and a marketer's dream. If she personally recommends a product on her show and it's an instant sell out. That's power.

Don't get me wrong, her show is a hilarious blend of estrogen, victimology and self-help pap. The other day she had on these fatties who lost a hundred pounds, only to switch from junk food to other addictions. One became a falling down drunk and the other a whore. It was the ultimate episode. Even my wife, the super Oprah fangirl, thought it was laughable.

"I love Rush. I put aside my feelings on his ego because he is a voice of sanity. I fail to see why some of you cannot give Bill the same courtesy."

If you really felt that way, you'd ignore those who are Rush or O'Reilly detractors. After all, we're on FR, ergo, we are conservative, ergo, we must be voices of sanity too. Why the double standard? 8)

He's written several books and there's not one book that supports what you say you heard. I have been watching his TV show since its inception (I bought a satellite dish just to receive FNC) but I do not listen to his radio program.

Is oprah giving reilly respect, or is being attacked for being a conservative independent tv host.

When he said on Barbara Walters that he thought Bill Clinton was a brilliant man and was a great president, he lost me as a fan. I think that he sold out to the popular opinion, and conceded to the spin zone. Sad
