Oprah actually admitted that she realizes that this is the only country in the world where someone of her background would have the opportunity to become what she is today.

That's what REALLY is scary; that is what could get the Hildabeast elected POTUS in '08......

I think her stated mission is to get Obama elected.

considering what she could do...she's pretty low key. She gives millions and millions of dollars away, to charity. Most of which we never hear about. Oprah just touched something in American women...right place, right time. AND STAYED THERE. That in and of itself is amazing. You might not agree with her politics, she could be worse that way, much worse, like Streisand. The reason she's so popular is because she isn't like that. She knows the boundaries.

I love Rush. I put aside my feelings on his ego because he is a voice of sanity.
I fail to see why some of you cannot give Bill the same courtesy.

Do you watch Oprah? When was the last time you ever saw her really combative with a guest? The reason she is so popular is because she's NOT combative.

And just to make the point, I am not a regular Oprah watcher. I have never sat and watched more than 5 minutes of her show. But I watched it all today.
Maybe if she sees the ratings, she will invite more articulate, yet firm, conservative guests. Thus helping OUR cause.

LOL! I think the last thing Oprah worries about is ratings! By the way, I was on Oprah's show in 1993 and she was DELIGHTFUL!!!

I can't recall the last time she had anyone resembling a conservative on, so I didn't know what to expect.

First time I've watched Oprah and it was good stuff. Bill verbally abused everyone in the audience who challenged him. Especially some schmuck who tried to tell Bill that the ACLU was a great organization, or the woman who basically said that we are the bad guys because apparently our weapons are killing women and children.

If he is a democrat, Soros is a republican evangelical.

My grandfather calls himself a democrat. But he is right of Attila the Hun on almost every issue.

Where is the article in which he says he is a progressive democrat?

Good assessment of Oprah. It IS frightening how many women do follow her, like a cult leader. But she does give conservatives access to her forum, is friendly, and I think she is one of the (extremely few) decent democrats-- she just doesn't understand conservatism, but she's not a moonbat.
