OMG!!!
That's outrageous.
I sure hope that Fairfax County schools don't engage in that kind of indoctrination...they won't like my reaction.
I've already had to remind my daughters 3rd grade teacher last yera that her personal politics didn't contribute anything to her education.

I don't know, but I'll find out! This area was still sparsely populated even by the war.
I'm proud of Camden SC though, they had eight Confederate generals.

There was a dust up between a FReeper and Mark re: Tom Keane Jr.. A good airing of opinions. Cleared the air. Sort of like the Dubai Ports discussion or GWB's first Scotus nomination. High spirits noth sides
In the end, there was no blood or broken bones.
We were back to silly the next day.

I think my moment of "Waterloo" was when I went to a parent teacher conference, and spent an hour esplaining to the lass that NO, my sons did not have ADD, and I knew they got more federal funding if the school claimed more kids with the "disorder", and just MAYBE she should spend more time teaching and less time trying to be a medical professional---I then smiled...shook her hand FIRMLY (we military chicks didg that) LOL...and I wason my way...the POINT of my story is...the WHOLE reason for this utter BS is...the SCHOOL gets more GOV Money for each kid that has "ADD"...and the NEA does what clase? ...Sorry people...this Democrat BS of having more government in my life crap is over, in MY world! MAKE A DIFFERENCE! VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you ever get a chance to visit, SC is great for a civil war buff. Abbeville is about forty miles from here. The articles of Secession were drafted there, and Davis's last cabinet meeting was there.

How is your son doing in football? Science Hill has that rich tradition of excelling in the sport. Actually, Dobyns Bennett (Kingsport), who we play tomorrow, has gained ascendancy in the last 20 years. SH still has the upper hand in roundball, though.
Ben has had a good first year ever playing the game. There are some problems in integrating newcomers into the program. He does a lot of standing around in practice, and seldom gets PT, even in JV games - though he ALMOST had an INT against Happy Valley
He has increased his strength a lot and is dedicated in the off season to continue to work with an eye to move up and contribute; as well as packing on some bulk to his 6'3" 16 year old frame. He gets must less discouraged than I do, For him, it is cool enough to be on the team. He gets to travel to away games - eats the pre-gane meal - wears the jersey to school on Friday.
Thanks for asking.
And - might as well

Lot of history here! I didn't know it, but Camden was the first inland city in America.
