Patricia Heaton who won an Emmy for her work on "Everyone Loves Raymond" is taking sides in the stem-cell research debate.
Shes put herself on the opposite side of Michael J. Fox, the much-beloved actor whos been battling Parkinsons disease since 1991 and is a firm supporter of embryonic stem-cell research.
Heaton is now appearing in a commercial intended to persuade Missouri voters to vote against Amendment 2 on their ballot.
Fox, in his own commercial, urges voters to support the measure and Democrat Claire McCaskill, who is running for U.S. Senate against the incumbent, Jim Tenant, a Republican who opposes embryonic stem-cell research.

No, she said enshrining cloning in the Missouri Constitution could led to the exploitation of poor women, who feel pressure to harvest their eggs to make some money. She pointed out that this is a painful and dangerous proceedure.
MJF's name was never mentioned, by anyone. It's not about MJF it's about amendment two.

Heaton has been a relatively unknown political ideologist to most of her fans. My guess is they will be surprised to learn about her as she attacks Fox and repudiates his claims.
Completely wrong; she is known as very conservative and very anti-abortion....

No it's not an excuse for him telling out and out lies, but he is proably being coached by the other side and used for other's political gain. I don't believe he cares one way or the other about politics, conservatives, or liberals I just think he is freaked out having had Parkinson's now since he has been in his early 30's.

This is sure misleading on Friedman's part. Also, Prop#2 is not about stem cell research. It is about cloning. Looks like FNC has their share of liberal, lying, dishonest POS reporters too.

this is a hit piece on Patricia Heaton while it glorifies Fox and his foundation and the work he does for "his" political candidates.
Not much bias here - /sarcasm>

Michael J. Fox is not being used. He isn't some simple minded child that got tricked by the evil dems. Come on...
He believes in embryonic stem cell research and supports those candidates, who do as well. To show the horror of his disease he chose to be filmed wihtout the masking efforts of his medicine. This is just plain smart.
Furthermore, I have seen interviews and programs with Fox where he has to stop the event and take his medication because he is unable to stop his tremors.

...Michael J. Fox, the much-beloved actor...Yeah?
Well, I've never thought much of him.
In my opinion, he plays his actual self, which is to say, selfish, contemptuous, out of touch, liberal, nitwitted, limousine liberal.
And the "Back to the Future" films were juvenile and down-right silly.
But hey, that's just me.
I also pull one wing off house flies and stick pine needles up the butts of horse flies.
I'm what you might call an "Inconsiderate Conservative". I just don't give a damn about anyone that uses their disease or disability to further a political cause; i.e, Fox, Reeves, Streisand (is ugly considered a disability?), Julia Roberts (now I know stupidity is considered a disability) and any of the others.

No, it doesn't make you eeeevvviiiillll. Actually, it makes you a mature adult able to understand Fox takes the position he does. Bravo, I say!
I disagree with Fox on stem cell research, I think he a very talented actor who has made me laugh over the years.

Private concerns have for years been using embryonic stem-cell research and found that it produces nothing. The more promising research seems to lean toward a persons own stem cells and is by far more promising. M. Fox is a stone liberal nut and is one of the typical left insane nuts in Hollywierd. We are all ill in some way, so what?

Many scientists believe stem cell research snake oil could lead to cures for Parkinsons and many other illnesses. And if we just give them a little more funding...
