Desperate ex-presidents .....Some leave their mark, others just a stain !
Jewish World Review ^ | Dave Weinbaum

Posted on 10/23/2006 4:47:12 AM PDT by IrishMike

Great presidents never die…but they do know when to SHUT UP! Whoever said politicians are all alike, haven't studied recent ex-presidents. Ford, Reagan, and Bush 1, were all succeeded by Dems, Ronnie one removed. To my knowledge, they maintained their quiet over policies and behaviors they would deem ridiculous.

Even Nixon remained quiet while rebuilding his reputation, after his deserved self banishment from office.

Thus, the Republicans maintained the dignity of their country, party, themselves, but most of all; the Presidency itself.

Some leave their mark, others just a stain The opposite is true of our most recent Democratic commander in chiefs. They can't resist any and all attempts to attack their successors, even on foreign turf.

Since Clinton has befriended the emir of Dubai, Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Matoum, he has been paid to bestow several speeches to the UAE for about $400,000 a sermon. This Arab country, supporter of the Israeli boycott, also contributed about $500,000 to the Clinton Library.

....................................................

Carter has been equally busy.

While visiting Castro in 2002, Carter lavished praise on the Cuban health and education systems while forgetting to mention the thousands of political prisoners Fidel had languishing in his prisons. Two years later President Jimmy felt it necessary to confirm Hugo Chavez's controversial "election" as el-presidente of Venezuela, despite evidence of murders by Hugo's brown shirts and a 59% exit poll that revealed the Devil pointer lost.

Now Carter wants to blame Bush for the anti nuke deal he made as a Clinton assignee to appease Little Kim in 1994. What chutzpah! It proves that a fool and his policies are never parted.

Never leave a dullard alone with a sharp knife.

How true! They just won't shutup. I once read a quote purportedly written by one of the Founding Fathers, James Madison I think, but have never been able to confirm the source. It went something like this: "When presidents complete their terms they should leave the country lest they create mischief." Can anyone confirm the source?
Perhaps leaving the country is too harsh and the quote should be changed to: "When presidents finish their terms in office they should shutup."

Jimmy Carter will go down as one of the worst, or the worst president in American history. His failures in leadership, vision, and action set the stage for decades of international conflict and the rise of the major threats of the 21st century. From Iran to Islamofascists to North Korea, to the Mideast, Jimmy's failures are on parade every day. Like all Dimocrats, he left the hard task of cleaning up his messes to Republicans.

Clinton and Carter have nothing to be proud of in their administrations, so now they have to try to make up for that.

"Clinton and Carter have nothing to be proud of in their administrations, so now they have to try to make up for that."

The entire democratic appartus is trying to make up for that!

That is why they are constantly attacking Bush as a "failed president" a "liar" and so on. It is because these are the words (appropriate) for use when speaking of Carter/Clinton!
