I am your typical Republican "supervoter." .... But I'm seriously considering ending that streak this Nov. 7. ...
I'm also a contrarian -- a conservative with libertarian leanings. Combine all these characteristics, then mix in the aggregate Republican record, allow the ire it has created to rise and bake it for a few years and here's what comes out of the oven:
A party base that's mad as hell and no longer willing to rationalize GOP failures. It's a base whose crust grows darker and thicker -- i.e., angrier -- when prominent conservatives and Republicans -- politicians, pundits, radio talk-show hosts and think tankers sensing impending electoral doom -- pop out of their pumpkins and upbraid the watered-on for complaining about being wet.
....
...Pay no attention to the recidivists behind the curtain who, once every two years or four or six, make grand promises of fealty to conservative and party principles only to repeatedly fail to deliver. ... What's the definition of insanity again? In this case it's constantly returning Republicans to power and having the audacity to expect different results. And what could be more stupid than that?
....
Look, folks, it's time to take a stand. Returning this current crew of Republicans to power will only embolden them to spend more time, not less, off the conservative reservation. This is no time to dance the Rationalization Rumba. It is time for the GOP base to deliver a very big SMACK. It's the only way to start the process of true Republican/conservative reclamation.
Fellow Republicans and conservatives, do what you must on Nov. 7. But I, for one, refuse to yet again enter my polling place, vote for the usual GOP suspects...
It's time for the long-spanked to do some spanking.

Sure.
Isn't it interesting that the very people who are not willing to sell out their "principles" are more than willing to sell out ours!
I have to tell you...they're driving me crazy, from the government on down.
That said, this kind of thing sure has a way of separating the wheat from the tares and I have an all new perspective on who to trust. So it's not all bad.
I'll never find a candidate that agrees with ME 100 percent of the time, will you?
To sit at home and not vote more pubbies into office is to hand our sovereignty over finally to the democrat party which is Sorosesque in the extreme. This election cycle is probably the last great pportunity to show democrats, the whoredom of democrat media, and the Republican party just how powerful the conservative vote can be in America. Rather than play spoiled brat voter, as the fool writer of the column encourages, conservatives ought to be turned out in record numbers, to bury the damned demcorat party and their sycophantic whore of alphabet media, giving the real brats a true spanking. Lazy tantrum suicide improves nothing. Period.
LOL. Well, retarded pretty much cuts to the chase.
Character is putting your country over your personal agenda.
But you knew that.
Voting for a democrat.
And not voting at all is the same thing, IMO.
The Owner of this site posted his warning on the PA. board where these fine folks have taken it over....
He is REPUBLICAN and he intends on keeping this site that way....
WTG REPUBLICANS!!!!! VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE
Or C) All of the above.
Hold your nose in 2006; punish 'em in the primaries in 2008.
Maybe they'd like old Tom Daschle to make a comeback!
It never ceases to amaze me how three or four people can go tearing into the wilderness assuming everyone will follow...and when everyone does not, call THEM apostate.
LOL.
No kidding???
I agree. I am not voting for any individual candidate-with one possible exception-but will be voting on the initiatives here in Kalifornia.
Well, Raster's working on a plan to send them to Cuba. Which side of the island shall we choose. ;-)
Yep, go to the PA. board, its there for all to read....hopefully we won't have them poisoning our board anymore...
I'm not living in the past, I'm learning from it. You're not much of a conservative if you can't.
Let's get to work!
Ever since the opposite of "Republican" became "Democrat" on most ballots. As has been stated countless times on this website, vote for the most conservative candidate in the primary, and vote for the Republican in the general election. If a person espouses conservative values but thinks giving democrats the leadership of our Congress is a good way to "Deliver a Spanking", they reveal a true shallowness of character and a patently immature lack of judgment.
