On Monday morning, however, they were there for a very different reason -- to watch as Kane County sheriff's deputies removed office equipment, furniture and other items from the clinic, placing them in a pile in the driveway. According to Sheriff Ken Ramsey, his men arrived at 9 a.m. Monday to evict Dr. Louis S. Meyers from the clinic, pursuant to a court order. The building is owned by Dr. Aleksander Jakubowski, who operated it from 1991 to 2005 before retiring.
Meyers and his staff have been renting the building since then, Jakubowski said, but several weeks ago Meyers disappeared. "I don't know what happened to them," he said. "He just vanished." Details of the ensuing weeks are few, but Jakubowski said that he has regained control of the property, and he plans to sell it. Sharp-eyed travelers down Galena Boulevard might see the "For Sale" sign, which Jakubowski said has been there for a few days.
The eviction was good news for the pair of anti-abortion protesters who turned out to witness it. Neither John nor Karen wanted to give their last names, but both said they had been demonstrating in front of the clinic for years. "We're glad to see the place close," John said. "But our prayers daily will be with the Jakubowskis, and the people who do this and think it is a good thing to do." Jakubowski's clinic has been a source of controversy since it opened in 1991. Protesters followed Jakubowski from his original office space, in the old Copley Hospital building at Lincoln and Seminary avenues, where he had worked since 1985.
About a month after Jakubowski opened his doors, 16 people were arrested outside the clinic for criminal trespass and mob action, after chaining themselves to the front porch. Protests and arrests became regular events after that, some led by national groups such as Operation Rescue. Jakubowski seems happy to leave all that behind him. He said he has been relaxing and enjoying family life since retiring last year, and said he doesn't know who will eventually buy the building on Galena Boulevard. Joan Solms, a long-time protester, expressed uncertainty for the future of the former clinic. "We have no idea what will transpire," she said. "All we know is that the clinic will not be operative for the next few days."
Good riddance.
Another death mill closed.
Thank the Lord!!!!

I already knew this Coleus. I was in fact ridiculing my party for their duplicity.
Abortion in evil and partial birth is murder plain and simple.

I think both, they went out of business, didn't pay their rent then were subsequently evicted.
I think the same thing of cancer, it will never be cured, too many making too much money off finding a cure.Find a cure and lose many many high paying jobs.
