I grew up with a fellow who lived on 81 St. off Elliot. The wedding last week was down by Metropolitan.
It was always a nice neighborhood.

Don't FReep the boss (he's pretty cool)! FReep the loosers in the IT department. I suspect they saw the accumulated time I spent on FR (and a motorcycle forum) and decided these were against company policy. I'm considering a proxy service to re-gain FReep-dom!

And, if I was drowning, and the ACLU had a life preserver...I'd make peace with my maker and hold my breath. LOL

Wasn't all that long ago that ads for apartments in that neighborhood were only listed in the German language papers.

South Jamaica between Liberty and Linden

I know that area well also. When I was very little my parents moved to 88th Road, just off Jamaica Avenue. As I remember it [as a very small kid], it was a lovely neighborhood. Only a couple of years later we moved to 125th Street very near the LIRR station. Also nice, at the time.
