Looks like Sherrod Brown has a little tax problem that's come to light. Here's a press release from the DeWine camp that just hit my inbox: "Sherrod Brown admitted the State of Ohio had to take legal action to force him to pay his taxes. As state officials confirmed, Sherrod Brown did not pay the unemployment taxes that every other employer in Ohio is required to pay. Sherrod Brown first said that he did not pay them for 12 years; he is now saying that he made a mistake and that he did finally pay them but only after the State of Ohio took legal action against him.
"The facts are clear: Sherrod Brown didn't pay his taxes. In fact, he didn't pay his taxes for so long that the State of Ohio was forced to take legal action against him to get him to pay what he owed.
"And now the best Sherrod Brown can say is that it was nearly two years that he cheated unemployed Ohio workers out of the money that was due to them.
"C'mon, Sherrod. How many Ohio workers get to pay their tax bill two years late?
"Worse still, he's got the nerve to try to blame the DeWine campaign for his own financial mismanagement. Tuesday his campaign said Sherrod paid his tax bill in 2005. Today, they say, no wait, he only waited until after the state took legal action against him to pay his late tax obligation. Oh, and he says that he must have forgotten to get the lien released that the State had been forced to file against him.
"Do we really need a U.S. Senator who can't even manage his own financial affairs? Can we trust someone who waits for the government to take legal action before he pays his taxes?"
More good news.
Ohio is on fire, BUMP!
This will go into the same black hole that Harry Reid's land deal went in.
I hope DeWine's campaign plays this for all it's worth!
Now only if the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati media will cover the story...!
ping! :)

LOTS of time left. We're rolling!
I'm THRILLED to hear that!
WOO-HOO!
A SENATE Candidate who didn't pay TAXES for TWELVE YEARS??? You have GOT to be kidding!! He;s been in the HOUSE for years and years!! Voting FOR Tax INCREASES!! This chaps my butt!
OK, that's fine, that is who votes for them.
They are not on my ballot and there is nothing I can do about it.
eras= Oopps , I meant errors.
I'm sad to say that I don't think it's going to help. Blackwell was down by 17 points in a poll yesterday. A poll? Yeah, probably skewed, but 17 points is a lot even so.
I don't think Sherrod Brown is surprised!! He KNOWS he didn't pay the TAXES!!
"It's the ground game, stupid," and we will win the ground game. We did 800 houses yesterday afternoon. (This is an average of about 1000-1500 homes being hit with lit drops per day. Students were given personal meetings with Hannity if they made 500 phone calls, so you know a bunch of students went down to Cincy.
Are you in Ohio?
ohioWfan is and she is out working for GOP candidates.
She says Ohio is on fire, and I believe her.
I think the best we can hope for is WLIO or WLQP in Lima covering it...
Yes. I live halfway between Cleveland and Akron. Finally saw one Blackwell sign, other than mine, yesterday.
