I hope the NCAA loses their @ss in countersuit. Maybe the Seminoles or the Illini are up to the task?

If you have a problem with this, you should write to the Chief of Operations at the NCAA Headquaters in Indianapolis, Indiana...

Amazing that the Seminoles kept theirs.

I'd settle for them banning that constant chanting. Cheeze does that grate on the nerves.

"the athletic logo – which contains two green and gold feathers – could create an environment that is offensive."

I think we ought to form a class action with people named William or Mary. How dare the university use their names without their permission.

PC has hit Northeastern State University 'Redmen' in Tahlequah, OK, too. They are changing their logo/team name.

Tahlequah is the Capitol of the Cherokee Tribe.

As a peaceful Irishman, I'm offended by the term 'Fighting Irish." Do you think I can get the NCAA to ban that?

All of these Nazi tactics by the NCAA will certainly backfire. Here in Illinois, the school might be forced to remove the "Chief Illiniwek" as the official mascot, but I guarantee that "unofficial" displays of the Chief will skyrocket at games and elsewhere. I look for the NCAA to then try to dictate that schools must prevent fans from wearing the supposedly "offensive" mascot on their bodies at games, etc. (It wouldn't surprise me a bit.)

The Seminole Indian Tribe officially and vigorously supported FSU, and that, apparently, was the clinching argument.

NCAA did not want to "upset" the Seminoles. OK to "upset" FSU students, graduates and faculty, but not the Tribe!

BTW, I am very pleased that the Seminoles did support FSU. NCAA was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off base on this one. IMHO!

I hope to live long enough to see this and all the other PC bullshit which is doing such severe damage to our great Nation well and truly dead and buried in the compost pile of history where it surely belongs!

Why are we honoring the absurd wishes of the American Indians? What claim to fame do they have? We've bettered their lives and any mention of the savage people their ancestors were should be seen as an undeserved complement.
