San Diego Headline News: ...Rescue At The Border SAN DIEGO, CA - (10-10-06 7:26am) Authorities are attempting to extricate five people trapped in a tunnel at the international border Tuesday morning. It is happening near Via De La Amstead and Paseo De Las Americas. The circumstances surrounding the incident are not known at this time. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

Other people, who would like nothing better than to label places like Free Republic "Hate Speech" and legislate it out of existence, are always on the take looking to discredit us.

I just want us to stay off the "IS-forbidden" lists. Some of the posts on this thread make it difficult to make the case.

Who said anything about executing them? It sounds like a couple made it back across the border. We should have stuffed them all back into the tunnel and sealed our end. Let 'em go back to Mexico.

Nope. Not if that was the law. It's not, though. Crossing the border illegally doesn't have anything like that penalty. I think we should change the law to make illegal border crossing a felony.

Still, if we did that, we'd be feeding and housing all those illegals, rather than sending them back across the border.

What I am in favor of is enforcing our laws...no more...no less.

I'm not grumbling at the mods. I am bothered by the fact that some people get upset with some things said by some posters, and they get them removed by whining and complaining. Yet they ignore others. Screw it.

Their end is in Mexico territory. What they do with it is up to the Mexican governemnt.

Our end should be bricked up and flooded with radioactive isotopes to keep them from trying to re-open it on OUR soil.

I hear what you are saying, and I am with you on that, but I think you could see my point as well. Imagine this scenario:

And so on. You see my point. I know what you mean, and YOU know what you mean, but out of context, it is not a good thing.

I think we can joke and make un-PC statements, but we do need to make sure we don't sound like DU. They would make these statements about Rush Limbaugh or President Bush trapped in a tunnel, and mean it.

I have nothing to do with their decisions, so I'm not the one to talk to. I am capable of clicking that button, though, and do when I see something I think will harm Free Republic. The decision to pull a message is the moderators' decision, not mine. They do not read every message posted on Free Republic. They do read those that are flagged.

You don't even have to tell them who you are, although I always do. I generally post a protesting message in public, as well.

You want to call me a nanny? That's fine. But I don't make the decisions.
