"If Hamas has it I do not seem them give it up without a fight."

Just tell them to look in the box. (The ark is supposed to be one of those treasures isn't it?)

Well according to scripture the 'ark' was not left behind. So it was not in Herod's temple.

I don't think Mr. Kingsley claims to have "found" the treasures, he simply believes he knows where they are. Knowing about them, and securing them are two diffent things, especially with Hamas thugs about.

Drat, that would have made a more dramatic ending to the story.

Oh there is going to be plenty of drama, and there may well be a fake 'ark' in the mix.

I cannot stand all this "Common Error" garbage.

They should just use "BC" and "AD" rather than acting like 8 year olds who make up the rules of a game as they go along so they can get their way.

Ridiculous.

Agreed. I use AD, BC and BP (Before Present) - but I will not use CE.

So true. My students translate the letters as Christian Era and Before Christian Era. I ask the unknowing. What is year zero for BCE? The birth of Christ. So even this made up system is religious, as are most calendars.

Soooo...

How did the treasure get from Justinian's[Byzantine] hands to the West Bank? Seems like that would be an interesting detail...

Vendyl Jones has located the Ark anyways.

All he needs is some funds and an environmental study and he can have his 'Geraldo' moment.

According to modern legend the ark is sitting in a government warehouse collecting dust.

You mean someplace like a Clinton or LBJ library?

"You mean someplace like a Clinton or LBJ library?"

Given the nature of the Ark of the Covenant as described in the Old Testament, both libraries would be leveled into dust already.

Yes, as would any other building claiming to be housing it.

Arutz Sheva is a conservative Jewish nationalist source, so they're not likely to use anything that says Jesus is the Messiah :)

This guy has a book he wants to sell.

This cave, or whatever it is he has claimed to discover, will be as empty as Capone's vault when he opens it up before the media crowds.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel/Russian Jewry ping list.

Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.

I can just picture hoards of lunies with make-shift gold detectors wandering the west bank desert looking for gold.
It's really not that much territory, I wonder what the author's goal is.
