According to Chronicles, the ark was not among the temple treasures taken by Nebuchadnezzar to Babylon. It was apparently hidden before that time. There is no mention of the ark in any historical record after that point with the exception of the claim by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church to possess the ark.

If the Temple treasures were retrieved, the discovery could help lead to the actual rebuilding of the Temple, the resumption of biblical sacrifice and the coming of the Messiah. Well let's get to it then. Of course those two hemorrhoids on the Temple Mount called "mosques" will have to be removed.

It is intellectually offensive, if not just silly, for all the Jew-hating Arabs to refuse to call the nation of Israel by name. Instead, if they ever refer to it at all, it is the "Zionist entity", or similar nonsense.
If dancing around the reality of Israel is such a weird artifice, so then is dancing around the reality of our present system of numbering years. The west uses the calendar devised by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. That calendar uses an erroneous year for when Jesus was born as the starting place to number years. It is a fact of life that is, as they say, above my pay grade to change.
It is not historically accurate to use "Common Era" instead of "A.D", any more than it is to call the nation of Israel by any other name.

It's a plausible argument that has almost messianic implications. If the Temple treasures were retrieved, the discovery could help lead to the actual rebuilding of the Temple, the resumption of biblical sacrifice and the coming of the Messiah.
Too late.

"The treasure's final hiding place - in the modern West Bank ... deep in Hamas territory - will rock world religions."
Unless Hamas finds it and melts it down to pay for more bombs to use against Israel.

The Copper Scroll sounds familiar. I think I read about it here on FR. Refresh my memory. Thanks.

The Copper Scrolls is the latest installment of the series of books by Joel.
He has an eerie timing for his book. His first book, The Last Jihad began with a hijacked plane flying into a city in the United States. It ended with a war about to begin with Iraq.(The book was published 9 months before 911 and 5 months before our war in Iraq.)
His second novel The Last Days opens with a US diplomatic convoy being attacked heading for Gaza and the death of Arafat and Islamic terrorists trying to take over the West Bank and Gaza. That one was published two weeks before a real US dimomatic convoy was attacked in Gaza, 13 months before Arafat died and then Hamas seized control of the West Bank and Gaza.
His third novel The Ezekiel Option, has a dictator rises to power in Russia an Iranian leader vows to annihilate Israel, and Russia and Iran form an alliance. That book was published the very day that Iran elected a new president that vowed to accelerate his countries nuclear program, 4 months before he vowed to wipe Israel off the Earth and two months before Russia agreed to sell Iran 1 billion $ worth of jets missiles and warships.
The Copper Scroll, turns up the discovery of the Temple treasure, and the beginning of plans for rebuilding the Temple and the War of Gog and Magog This novel was published this year.

I honestly belileve that if Hamass does have control over the area and it is confirmed that these treasures are there, Israel will spare no expense nor palesimian thug to secure these great treasures of antiquity. Send in the D9s!

Well, if this is true (and if the treasures include the ashes of the last red heifer) then this certainly uncomplicates things. However, instead of Mashiach coming after the Temple is built, isn't he supposed to be the one to rebuild the Temple? Of course, someone has to actually rebuild the Temple first before he can be recognized as Mashiach. Not to worry though. G-d will take care of everything.

Well according to scripture the 'ark' was not left behind. So it was not in Herod's temple. This is true. The Holy of Holies in the Second Temple was empty because the Ark had already disappeared/been hidden.

I cannot help but read "Christian Era" when I see CE and, indeed, I saw the "new" terms for a long time before I discovered their purpose was to expunge Christianity from the history books. I had wondered why the change from "Before Christ" to "Before Christian Era."
