Europe Is Growing Skeptical Of Dialogue With Muslims (excellent article)
The NY Sun ^ | 10/6/2006 | YOUSSEF IBRAHIM

Posted on 10/06/2006 10:53:59 AM PDT by Dark Skies

After years of dithering over political correctness with Muslims and Islam, Europe is waking up to a different morning.

A three-week tour of Italy, France, and Britain last month was enough for me to conclude that Western Europeans have moved way beyond dialogue. Confrontation, indeed even provocation, is their preferred approach to the Muslims in their midst.

Long before Pope Benedict XVI's scathing comments in mid-September on the fallacy of phony Muslim-Christian dialogue, signs of hardening European views toward current Islamic values were plentiful on the Continent

Yeah, but the moosies need to learn that some of us raving, maniacal Christians push back when they push us, and it has nothing to do with our religion. I would deliciously await a response from the City of Minnie. First Amendment vs. First Amendment.

Don't tread on me! ;>

Yeah, get those soft foam beer can holders that keep your beer cold - the ones that have the Bud label on them. Put it on a can of coke or soup or whatever and just stand there with it. If everybody did that, the moosies cabbies would have to drive away without a fare and the cops couldn't bust you for an open container of an alcoholic beverage on the streets because all it would be is coke or soup or whatever, LOL! I think it would be fun! ;>

I don't know if it's most of them (who are Christian refugees), but it's certainly many of them.

I wonder if France is such a lost cause. Last year's riots may have opened up a lot of minds and eyes. There is nothing like the threat of death to make people finally wake up.

England's Muslim percentage is 3%. Just like the USA's.

The USA's Muslim population is 1% according to the CIA. That makes Britain's three times as large as ours (2.7% according to the CIA).

I've been saying for some time that there will be concentration camps in Europe again, before this is over. The only question is, Who will be running them?

I'm not at all happy to be making that prediction, that's just the way I see it going, given history and how I see this playing out.

>>I have been talking about the European awaking for several years, and I can tell you that all signs are pointing to that it is happening more and more.

We just got back from visiting friends in Germany, who had lived here for 10 years, then moved back about 3-1/2 years ago.

They are quite awake on this issue. And they don't seem to be in an area with many Islamics (DUS suburb).

FWIW, just one more anecdote.

>>The French have acquitted themselves so poorly for the last twenty years,

Forty years. Goes back at least to de Gaulle pulling out of NATO in 1966.

Heck, it goes back to Vichy and 1940, so 65+ years.

The real answer is for the city licensing board to man-up and yank cab licenses over this nonsense. If they need enabling legislation, the city council needs to step up.

We need to stop Muslim immigration and deporting those here illegally. Then deport anyone who poses a threat to our security.

That was not entirely clear. Here again:

We need to STOP Muslim immigration and START deporting those here illegally. Then deport anyone who poses a threat to our security.

It's not too late, but in 20 years it will be. They need to send back guest workers and illegals, pass laws that prohibit Islamic practices like hijab and sharia, enforce those laws, proselytize in the Muslim community, expose Muhammad as a fraud and treat Islam as a menace to be defeated politically and intellectually, like communism and fascism.

The correct strategy is to demand reciprocity. For starters, no more immigration -- none -- from Moslem countries that do not recognize freedom of religion, free speech, the emancipation of women, etc. Go on the offensive in every forum. Tell the muzzies that we are not interested in "dialogue" with any culture that does not meet us in a free marketplace of ideas.

Perhaps in some weird way, Osama bin Laden did the Western world a favor by bombing us, otherwise we could have been completely over-run by Muslims before we even noticed the real intent of Islam in our countries. 9/11, Madrid, London and all these things that Muslims have gone crazy over has woken us up to Islam's real intent -- to force us all to bow toward Mecca one day! And I, for one, say, "Hell no" to that!

Hey Bokababe...I am on one of your ping lists.

I agree that muslims are waking the infidel world up to the danger of islam.

And the infidel world is awakening at an exponential rate.

KABOOM!!!

You are right in terms of the government, but I was speaking more in terms of the attitude of the French people.

I don't think it matters what the level of enlightment of any particular Moslem country is (although some are clearly worse than others). The terrorists who came here and have gone to other western countries to work their evil are not influenced by an enlightened or what we could consider semi-enlightened governments within all of Islam. In fact, they act out against their own governments and people as well as sending terrorists to the western world. Many of the exported terrorists have come from the more moderate Moslem countries, such as Jordan. I think we have to deny entrance to anybody from any of those countries for the time being, period. Certain people passing extensive background checks might be let in on tourist visas if there is a system in place to monitor their movement. To do otherwise would alienate the moderate Moslem countries. But we simply can't let them in to wander off and get lost in the country at will. I think a moratorium on student visas should be enacted until we have full cooperation from their native countries, including western Europe, and the means to fully investigate and track these people and limit entry to diplomatic and tourist visas. I certainly don't want the French to be allowed to export their mossie militants here.

Very true, but if that doesn't happen, which it likely won't, the people can handle it themselves. Just put the bastards out of business.
