It's all a measured plan to try and suppress the conservative base. This story is not geared towards affecting the gay community vote, its to try and get the base to stay home. It's the gay community that outed Foley. Gay congressional staffers are angry at Republicans who are gay but hide in the closet and speak out against "gay rights" issues. They are going to be outing more of them right up to election day...that is the October surprise.
