Foley was a homosexual predator, then they are emphasizing an angle of the story that the gay community won't like, the stereotype of predatory gay men.
It's the gay community that outed Foley. Gay congressional staffers are angry at Republicans who are gay but hide in the closet and speak out against "gay rights" issues. They are going to be outing more of them right up to election day...that is the October surprise.

And every GOP Congressman, Senator, and staffer who said to himself, "Well, it's their lifestyle choice, so what do I care?" is going to get outed as an enabler, even if they had no direct knowledge of any illegal or unethical conduct on the part of the gay colleague.
