CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.

The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.

The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.

The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

The dimwits are not even good at Dirty Tricks anymore

That's what happens when most of your voting block has limited intelligence to begin with. The field is getting really thin for talent and that's why we call them the DIM Rat party.

Actually I was thinking that this was payback for what Newt and the GOP did to Jim Wright when he was the Dim leader of the house.

Dhimmicrats always leave the dead and dying behind. They don't avenge them and hold no place of honor for them. Their opportunism is strictly for short-term gains they can make in any election cycle. This is evidenced at every turn, up to and including this election cycle.

Did you actually read the emails ? They were just friendly - nothing about sex and nothing personal except the request for the boy's picture. The page oversight committee was informed by the boy's parents, Hastert was then informed, and responded by telling Foley to stay away from the pages.

What else should he have done ? Investigate what ? There was no "there" there. Even the police can do no more if a crime has not been committed. The FBI was shown the emails and didn't investigate because there was no crime. Various news organizations declined to publish the story last year because there was nothing to it.

Are you saying Hastert should have felt more powerful than the FBI and done more ? He should have been all over what ?
If you have no specifics, don't throw mud just for the sake of piling on.

I wondered why this "kid" retained a fancy lawyer. Sounds like a smarmy liberal politico in training.

A Joe Wilson with training wheels.

Is that him?

If so, better keep that; that just might be the last known picture of him smiling.

Are you SERIOUS?! The Dems objected to Louis Freeh?

Wow...this just gets better (sorry that Freeh won't be doing it because he's not one to take any BS)...now the Dems are not willing to have a former FBI director do an investigation on this?

Hhhmmm...

Drudge now has a blurb stating that Hasert is not appointing Freeh because of Pelosi's objections.

I will add to the Clinton theory. Ernest Istook is the Congressman who kept Clinton from getting a cushy office and he had to settle for Harlem. Istook went after Clinton on how much money he was asking for his office and it got turned down.

The Brown Shirted Trolling Moles who started screaming for Denny's head last Friday had to be part of the left wing's behind the line first wavers.

Amen. Anyone compiling a list of the kneejerks?

I think it'd be good to look at their posting history. Anyone here can end up on the wrong side of an issue (it's happened to me before), but those that consistently find reasons to dump on conservatives need to be dumped themselves.

(Although, I really want Hastert to stop being a spendthrift....but I'll stand behind him from what I see that happened on this issue.)

I just checked out his page. Thanks for the hotlink.

I wonder how long he is going to be working for Sen. Istook...He wouldn't be working for me, 3 minutes after I read this.
