CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.

The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.

The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.

The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

As soon as you get a link, please post it as a thread because I think a lot of us will want to donate to his campaign.

Thanks for the info!

I saw THE LIST last night. Forgot where. I think it was somewhere on the website of the vile gay outer.

No, someone posted a link...
Not a long list. Many we know about (Santorum's aide for example)

Now I REALLY wish there was identification of newly signed up people obviously visible without having to look it up

Kind of like on Ebay-different "stars" for different levels of participation.

Here's the alleged info - it's from David Corn, the guy who outed Valerie Plame as a supersecret spychick when she apparently wasn't, and who still blames that on Novak:

...David Corn, Washington editor of left-leaning The Nation magazine, wrote in a post on his blog yesterday of a "list going around" of homosexual Republican aides on Capitol Hill.
Corn said "The List," as it's called, includes nine chiefs of staffs, two press secretaries and two directors of communications. Among the Republican lawmakers for whom they work are Rep. Katherine Harris, Rep. Henry Hyde, Sen. Bill Frist, Sen. George Allen, Sen. Mitch McConnell and Sen. Rick Santorum.
Corn says he has a copy of the list but won't publish it.

Of course, just as Valerie turned out to be a paparazzi-loving desk jockey and not Agent 99, the people middleman Corn threatens to expose here may be quite "straight." He's just hoping it disrupts their staffs so much worrying about their rightwing they can't focus on what things the leftwing may be doing, perhaps.

Still haven't figured out why they (Istook) hired these two from San Diego who don't have a clue about Oklahoma.

Hell, these two clearly have some "shadiness" in their past and now this "prank". Perhaps they own Istook by one manner or another.

I've still got this gnawing feeling that Jordan Edmund's "prank" with Foley was less about prank and more about extortion. But don't ask me why. It's just a feeling.

I sure will, that is what we do best. I am getting excited at what is going to transpire over the next week. As evidenced by this week's mayhem one week in a campaign is like an eternity, especially in our New Media world. Now I am going to run so I can be alert tomorrow am.

"ABC is saying only they have the original instant messages."

Do you have the source for that? Because that would blow ABC's cover story right out of the water. Originally, they said that they only got the IM's because they had posted the emails on the blog last Friday.

Here's the big "cover-up" -- one "orchestrated" by the parents of the boy, just as expected:

"Associates of the former president said he thinks that Democrats Al Gore in 2000 and Sen. John F. Kerry (Mass.) in 2004 lost the presidency because they could not effectively respond to a modern media culture that places new emphasis on politicians' personalities and provides new incentives for personal attack."

LOL..even Clowntoon knows that RATS can't compete with FReepers.

I share your feeling! There was something about him that set off the radar with several of us. Extortion wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility.

Well, buck up, I may not be in your neck of the woods, but my husband and I are looking to move to Florida, so you will have 2 more Conservative voters, as soon as we can find what we want.

That's for sure! How you doing? I haven't been on here a lot lately but I got fed up with Oklahoma politics and decided to come back to my 'home' on here where people make sense.

LOL..there is. just hold your cursor over their screen name, their "born on date" will light up and show under it.

You don't have to click on the name.
