CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**

According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.

The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.

The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.

The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

Good for Neil, now we have Soros on record lying when this really blows up.
But then again, lying isn't such an egregious offense when one is a felon for insider trading and securities fraud in another country.

Michelle Malkin is an overrated blogger that stumbled to fame because Matthews attacked her, Zell defended her and she rode the border issue to heights. And why did she do that? In part because it drove up web traffic, got her name out there and made her money.

The same border issue she barely covered while legislation about the fence was happening. Guess if you can't attack Reps on the issue, it's not worth covering.

I agree with her on the issue of the border, but doesn't mean I have to like her self righteous narcissitic attitude.

When she comes off her high horse and apologizes to the blog that tracked this page down helping further expose the stunt the Dems pulled and apologizes to Drudge, then I'll return to her site.

Foley should have resigned. He has issues and problems. He does not need to be in congress. Atleast, he does not need to be a republican.

Of course he has problems. He resigned himself for the good of the party, but the media has managed to make this all about Republicans and the "culture of corruption", ignoring the fact that Democrats are guilty of all that they accuse Republicans of. Neither side has a clean set of hands in this story, and today was demonstrative of that, because the Democrats have been circling their wagons, and this punk kid lawyered up.

Neil Cavuto interned in the Carter White House. It always helps to remember that.

Some of the best Republican activists I know went to Berkley. That theory is a nonstarter.

Well, no one I know would go to Berkley.

That is so aggravating, but so typical.

The MSM/Democrats are still slavering for "criminal charges." For *what?*

I agree.

There are stories out there that a George Soros' funded group, "C.R.E.W." could have had a big role to play in all of this. (Giving the info to ABC)

George Soros is relevant to this thread.

"Drudge is gay?"

Not publically. Many folks think he is, though.

WTF is Berkley?

The University of California campus is in Berkeley (named for the philosopher).

Pelosi said she would not testify under oath.

Pelosi said she would not sign any affidavit on the matter.

Oath testimony and Affidavits can be used for self incrimination.

Hence, she is exercising her 5th amendment right.

MSNBC...they speculated that there may be more to this story than we have been told.

I am constantly amazed that I, a self employed mother of two from Alppharetta GA, know more about this case than the professional journalist with professional research teams getting paid mega bucks.

I think I knew the bulk about this story over the weekend.

These guys are either very inept or see the writing on the wall with this story and decided to take a left turn.

Because he didn't think it was a prank. And because he's not a democrat, who blames someone else for his problems.

You might recall that the Supreme Court ruled unconstitutional the 1996 (Republican-sponsored) law that made Internet sex with minors a crime.) So this huge scandal is that Hastert (allegedly) insufficiently responded to something that was not a crime!
