PJ had a DUFU that said one of them bought a gun! Not a problem - I have two guns here - but more importantly, I'm now out of my street clothes, pajama-clad and ready for battle.

Bingo and would explain why him and his boss will never look anyone in the eye when talking.

First, you've got to follow the money. How did 21 year old Edmunds get to become the Deputy Campaign Manager (Finance Director!) for Istook's gubernatorial campaign?
Then you've got to look at the players. Istook owes Foley. Foley was on the hook for IM's to Edmunds.
Now Edmunds hires a criminal **defense** attorney, not a trial lawyer.
Put 1+2+3 together and you arrive at: Edmunds blackmailed Foley to get Istook's Deputy Campaign Director job.
Edmunds is a major political activist. He's no babe in the woods.

Foleygate could take down the entire bush regime...
Maybe I'm being too hopeful with all that's coming down about this predator and those that covered for him, but this seems like the tipping point in our favor. This could be what gives us the majority...at least in the house.
If the political winds continue to blow as they have been, the dems could be in the majority and with that comes subpoena power and hearings. It can only snowball from there into an exposure of just how criminal and immoral these people are.
Naive or hopeful...I'm not sure. All I know is that I can't help but imagine myself relaxing in front of the TV watching hearings ran by dems.

When our family moved to Oklahoma, I thought it was going to be this quiet little place with nothing going on but boy was I wrong. :)

Thanks! I am still stunned that I clicked on a thread and know the former page. Our County Chair posted on OK GOP Chat that Hastert should resign. He is also a former Istook campaign manager. Wonder if he has changed his mind?

This Fordham guy is up to his ears in this scandal, and I think its part of the link on how this Edmonds guy was working on the OK. Gov. campaign.

Is it routine to have a 21 y/o college student for a campaign manager? Wouldn't be surprised...political science majors would do that or a Politician in training. I suspect that Mr. Edmunds got the job for other reasons than his political acumen. More likely it was due to connections and money. (on another thread someone said he wasn't much of a campaign manager)

People I have talked with tonight think he probably is gay since the rumor about his boss being gay has been around since last spring. It is not a fact but rumors that were out there long before this.

And in following the money, wouldn't it be fascinating to know who plunked down the retainer for Edmunds' high profile attorney?
To: Southack
Dollars to donuts Edmund has a Democrat handler. (Cleaning up the loose ends from earlier where several have reported the Dems had the IMs months ago)

That would be my guess. Nothing has made sense from day one why he hired these San Diego types that don't fit in here in OK and beginning to see why.
