IM got started in 1997 (ICQ) and AOL's IM (AIM) in mid-1998. IM wasn't in wide use until AOL got involved. I am highly doubtful that they used IM to communicate 10 years ago.

I haven't seen anybody say they want Foley back. His acts were dispicable, and I don't care that they might have been legal.

This threads over `1000 post long I saw some of them in here. If what this man is saying is true Foley went to some pretty good lengths to get personal info. He just saw it as a fluke and let it go. But he said it was unsettling for him or to that effect.

At that time this happened he said he was. If so then a highly respected Republican congressman vetted his going to DC. The congressman had he known would not have put up with such abuse it as he is a good man.
