FWIW, I have emails and AIMS from last decade still saved. I don't see anything necessarily suspect about saving correspondences from even years ago. My sister archives all her emails. She still has emails from me that I sent her more than six years ago!

It's fun to sometimes go through old emails and see what I was doing at the time. I still have some of the first emails from the woman I married in 2002.
Kind of like a non-published blog. An email log, as it were: an emlog.

Here's a picture from Google's search page of Jordan Edmund, Carlbad.

His web page though has mysteriously disappeared.

I never thought of that about his campaign manager. I thought it was a strange pair. :)

They were sloppy.
Were they? Or did they know that Mr. Edmunds was working for possibly the next Governor of Oklahoma? It was mentioned that this guys AIM account was seldom used after 2002, and only a few times in '03 to corrospond with Foley. Hmmm, could some left wing nut job have hijacked this kids AIM account and used it to smear Foley, and in the same fail swoop shoot a budding hawk out of the sky (Edmunds)? These types of things usually involve taking down more than one of the enemy at the same time. Brilliant, and of course increadibly evil, move by the leftist. If what I think is true, the fallout will ruin Mr. Edmunds political career in addition to smearing Istook. Just Damn!!

PhiKapMom, I am making some guesses here, but hear me out. It is quite possible that another page, or someone who knew this Edmunds fellow could have hijacked his AIM account, used it to smear Foley, and in the process made Edmunds a tainted commodity among Republicans. I know this sounds a bit far fetched, but if I were to do a character assassination of a political enemy why not use one of his/her associates online accounts to do it with. Then the trail leads to them, anyone they work for, and the party in general.

Ernest Istook is running for Oklahoma Governor and is currently a Congressman. His campaign has not been able to get off the ground and is behind by a large number of points.
That is why it made no sense to hire someone from CA for his Oklahoma campaign. Still doesn't.

Are you thinking that Edmunds is a mole? I don't think so. I think his account was used by the perpetrator of the whole smear campaign/character assassination of Foley. Executed quite effectively too, unfortunately. I say fight fire with fire. It's too bad that if a Dem were to get caught doing something like this he would become a martyr of the left and end up getting reelected.

You are a genius for finding this and posting it.
This could very well prove that Foley, while disgusting, wasn't breaking the law...and that the political motivations behind the release of the IMs have more to do with hatred of Republicans than care for the kids.

Or he could be a democrat mole. His going to UC-Berkeley raises the red flag for me.
Republicans are as common at Bezerekley as the Wooly Mammoth is in modern times.
