There is a record and it is possible for a freeper to be "outed" as Buckhead was.

Here's part of what Mike Rogers wrote about outing another Rep Senator:

http://web.archive.org/web/20061003202621/http://www.blogactive.com/2006/01/mister-senator.html

He narrows it down to 33 (he's doing the tease/ intimidation factor)

DC law defines a child as being under 16 and then discusses sexual activity with children. I think that was his point.

No, what matters is the facts and not mis-contrued statements.

If you called Spencer on today's show, I heard your call. I was not at all satisfied with Spencer's response, which is often the case with him.

How that guy ever made it to being a host of a national radio show is beyond me. He flies off the handle way too easily sometimes and shouts down anyone who disagrees with him on something he feels strongly about.

I 100% agree with him on many issues, but mostly I find him to be a whiny, wimpy, wuss. It's fun to listen to him sometimes, but I rarely last the whole three hours.

Some of us question whether Foley would be fit to serve in Congress even if the page in question were 25 years old instead of 16.

If you really think conservatives/Republicans are responding to this the same way Democrats reacted to the Clinton/Lewinsky episode, just ask yourself if anyone with a (D) after their name would even dream of taking this kind of approach.

Beg pardon if the idea of having sex on-line seems ludicrous. Quite another thing to use it to lure them to an actual physical encounter. We have gotten so used to thinking of sixteen year olds as infants. At that age Alexander Hamilton and Johnj D. Rockefeller were successfully operating stores. Even we let them drive cars and hold now responsible jobs. Art least at that age, they are insurable workers. The guy is a POS, and the pages are naive boobs who think they are smart.

I was looking for the definition of "child" in some of those the other day. There didn't seem to be one. The definition of who is a minor may be state law. For instance, it is 16 in Washington, D.C. I still think he is in deep trouble for the communications he did have.

What you have posted may be Federal Law. Foley was working with Federal Laws for Internet Child Abuse and Porn, I believe. Don't know which laws he was breaking, if any, just because I'm not super knowledgable on this.

This comes down to illegal vs. legal, not right and wrong.

I would think internet access would not be that hard to come by, even in rehab.

No, you don't get it. While what Hastert and the House leadership knew and when he knew it SHOULDN'T be a political issue when we simply don't have all the facts, the Democrats ARE making it into a political issue and using whether Republican congressional candidates think Hastert should resign as an issue in local races. The Hastert bashing must stop until we have all the facts. Now, that can happen in two ways:

1) Hastert resigns - which I suspect is what you want to
happen. But there's no reason Hastert should resign just yet. There is no evidence he did anything wrong. Hindsight is always 20/20.

2) The House Republicans grow a spine and start fighting back, pointing out that the Democrats are politicizing an issue when there are more important things to be discussing and oh, by the way, the Democrats knew about it too and did nothing except withhold relevant evidence until they could do maximum political damage. There's probably insufficient evidence that Democrats knew so far, but I haven't seen the MSM putting Democrat Congressmen or the DCCC on record about it.

I agree, and here is the answer from a Page that was there, and is disputing the MSM reports.

If a pedophile was writing suggestive or outright sexually charged messages to my 14-year-old daughter or 12-year-old son, I would find them and hurt them.

Right. And I suspect you wouldn't even dream of allowing your 16-year-old son to move to Washington and work in an environment where f#cked-up, deviant behavior among our elected "leaders" is pretty much considered normal.

What you have posted may be Federal Law.

What I posted is indeed federal law and as I stated, it may not apply in this instance.
However, there it is.
