A fugitive gunman accused of killing a Florida sheriff’s deputy was shot 68 times by SWAT team officers who found him hiding in the woods, according to autopsy results.
Police fired 110 shots at Angilo Freeland, 27, the target of a massive manhunt in central Florida following the shooting death of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Williams Thursday.
“That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper.

I suspect that is a mis-quote. Here it is from the Lakeland Ledger.
"I suspect the only reason 110 rounds was all that was fired was that's all the ammunition they had," Judd said. "We were not going to take any chance of him shooting back."

I may get flamed but 68 times is just ridiculous and shows an aspect of these SWAT teams that are dangerous. No reason whatsoever to take out ones anger on a dead body. I do not want police that can not control their anger better than this. It shows a callousness that I do not think we would want police to develop. Too trigger finger happy and sounds like everyone just wanted their turn to empty their magazine in a already dead body.
I don't care how many times they shot the b^&tard. I don't care if they were angry, hungry, horny or happy when they shot him. The SWAT team did their job.
Be grateful that your tax dollars aren't going to pay for his defense team or pay for his playboy mags and death penalty appeals.
