Wrong. The perp showed a gun (remember he had killed already), there were 10 cops there and 9 fired. We're they supposed to discuss who was to fire so that only the required (in your eyes) number of shots were fired? Or should the have drawn straws? SHEESH!
Shooting the police oficer 8 times was a bit of gross overkill too.
Fact is the killer wanted that police officer dead.
Why should we hold it against the police for wanting the same thing for this slime.
The rule should be you kill an officer of the law you better be carrying a BIG white flag and lying prostrate on the ground when they come to get you.

I'm amazed, though not all that surprised, at the enthusiasm showed for (possibly) extrajudicial killings by SWAT teams. I agree that the perp probably "needed killin'", but as a society, we need LEOs who are disciplined professionals. The report that the perp was hit 68 times out of 110 rounds should at least raise some eyebrows, and needs to be investigated.
