register your local Wal-Mart where you will be taking your stand for Jesus.

Wonderful!!! Another reason to avoid Wal-Mart on Black Friday.

They only do electronic withdrawals (echecks). I would not dream of trusting their employees with my banking information.

Umm, what do you think you give them when you write a check???

We've just begun a serious discussion at our house

The folks in this household really need to get lives. Big companies "sponsor" activities by just about every special interest group that could possibly include customers or potential customers, and just because a company is one of many sponsors of something doesn't mean it's endorsing the activities of every other business and individual that's also a sponsor.

I think the issue is the clout Wal-Mart has in promoting Same-gender marriage which is an mockery.

Guess more Same-gender shop at Wal-Mart then straights!:)

Gee Mr. Fringe, maybe you could learn a couple of things about the nature of Truth - I mean instead of relying on the Supreme Court to tell you what they think it is.

Well homosexuality is a form of behavior and a lifestyle, so then why don't we legislate special rights for people involved in other forms of behavior? Why not special rights for convicted criminals so that employers cannot refuse to hire them because of their criminal record? Why not allow other couples, threesomes, and foursomes to get legally married? Why can't two women and a man who have been skiing together for 20 years become a legally married threesome? You see, once you start legislating special rights for people involved in certain kinds of behavior, then where does it end?

The civil rights movement was originally fought by M.L. King and others to end discrimination aginst people because of their unalterable physical characteristics: race, skin color, gender, and I think physical handicaps can be included in this catagory. The gay lobby has cleverly twisted this principle to try to say that making a judgement against someone because of their behavior and lifestyle is the same as discrimination based on physical characteristics. Well it's not the same thing and the gay lobby has tricked and conned a lot of people.

That's what a lot of people said about the early Mormons who practiced polygamy in accordance with their beliefs. In fact the federal government sent in troops to enforce other people's ideas about how Mormons ought to live. It would be nice to think that we'd moved beyond such self-righteous pig-headedness.

FWIW though, I think the government should get completely out of the marriage business, rather than expand its meddlesome regulation to include gay marriage. People's personal and/or religious activities are none of the government's business.

It is disappointing I guess they don't know who their shoppers are?

I use to get calls and email polls from Zogby I would support Wal-Mart but now I don't care anymore!

They wanted to build one in NYC and were getting a bum rap from the politicians forget my little voice who cares!

No, God does not hate homosexuals - He loves them and wants them to be free from the bondage of sin.
Now WalMart, on the other hand...... ; )

Your non sequitur response is the epitome of Christian logic.

LOL! I actually wish Phelps and his "church" WOULD start picketing WalMart over this. WalMart is big and smart and efficient, and they'd find a way to shut him down for once and for all.

I also agree that their stuff is garbage. At least some of it. While some of the people are nice, I've come across more incompetent employees. So, after I found I didn't like WM from experience, I learned more about it. Some things I like, others I don't. In general, I stay away. But sometimes I shop there because I can't find what I need anywhere else or without running around everywhere.

"Your non sequitur response..."

I'm sorry you didn't understand it - maybe you could have an adult explain it to you.

Your counter-argument is lame.

Gay behavior doesn't affect you. Criminal behavior does.

As for "special" rights, heterosexual marriage is just that. A special right and protection for heterosexual couples.

That's not the point of this article. It is another bigoted attempt by the AFA to bully corporations to follow THEIR lifestyle and reject all others.

The American Taliban strikes again.

"People's personal and/or religious activities are none of the government's business."

That is true until people's personal activities infringe on the rights of others and become a destructive force in society.
