It is disappointing I guess they don't know who their shoppers are?

I use to get calls and email polls from Zogby I would support Wal-Mart but now I don't care anymore!

They wanted to build one in NYC and were getting a bum rap from the politicians forget my little voice who cares!

I'll still shop there. But I think WalMart needs to be careful what it sponsors. In the case of gays, WalMart's silence would have been golden.

______

Hmmm, walmart. the most successful retail enterprise on the planet. pay many dollars to those who examine markets and where the potential is to tap new markets.

You know, I think I'll have to operate under the notion that Walmart knows who its customers are a whole heckuva lot better than you do.

They'll do what they think is best for the bottom line, and given their track record, it's pretty safe to assume they know what they're doing.

Boycott away!

Don't know who their shoppeers are?

Maybe they know that their shoppers cover all ends of the spectrum. Some others here have mentioned Target being a viable alternative, they aren't exactly a poster child for the anti-gay lobby. These boycotts get to be quite entertaining. The southern baptists boycotted Disney for years, but nobody really noticed. WalMart will market to anyone they think they can attract into their stores. I can't wait for the possibility of them one day deciding start to market to those of the Muslim faith, maybe have a Ramadan sale or possibly sell prayer rugs in the housewares department, some here will have a major meltdown. If these Boycott threats meant anything, most of the 'Boycotters' wouldn;t be able to shop anywhere except for their local christian bookstores.
