Cragg, 67, who lives in Fairfax County, said on Wednesday that Webb described taking drives through the black neighborhood of Watts, where he and members of his ROTC unit used racial epithets and pointed fake guns at blacks to scare them.

ping!
I was at a big engagement party in Lynchburg on Saturday; I wonder if Larry Sabato would like for me to post what I heard about him while I was there? It's all third and fourth hand, but, hey, what's the difference?
BTW, these people ALL support Allen and was mocking Webb.
And they were almost all Democrats!
I should have taken the advice of a previous poster and not being drinking anything while reading this thread!!!!!!!!!!!
Based on what I've been hearing locally, that doesn't surprise me.
"In all seriousness, who hasn't used the word nigger?"
In all seriousness, me. I guess we're just from different backgrounds.
"Hispanics don't go around calling each other spics or beaners."
You've obviously never heard of Carlos Mencia, or seen him perform.
I'd say he's pretty much done as an "expert."
I don't know about Allen and Webb, but Sabato's name is now mud.
People are sick of these kinds of accusations. And real people can understand what's going on here.
In all seriousness, everybody is "bigoted" about something.
I got some very interesting unsolicited email through my howlin@freerepublic.com address last week; it was obviously from some "operative" lurking on FR; but if it's true...
I am talking about everyday lingo when addressing people. I am not talking about a comedy skit.
And you have never said the n word, even just to yourself or in paraphrasing what someone else said? And I don't mean in a derogatory way, but just saying it like it's any other word.
How often do you interact with young black males?
It has gotten totally out of hand.........and I always thought politics in Delaware were of the lowlife nature........HAH, silly me :)
As there are things that I might dislike about certain groups, it doesn't extend to disliking individuals in that group. As much as I dislike liberalism, not all liberals are bad. Just most! :P
Only once that I can remember, paraphrasing for someone Chris Rock's distinctions between "black people" and "n-words", a distinction he is qualified to discuss. I am not.
And as a fifty-one year old woman, my interaction with kids of any race is (intentionally) limited. :)
Care to share?
He didn't say it to anyone's face, just behind their backs.
We see it day in and day out on this forum. Some people are bigoted about unmarried people, some about Boomers, some about something else.
Well, I would then make it your priority to drive down to the ghetto area of your city and spend some quality time with the borthas and sistas!
I am kidding of course.
Are you at least familiar with the fact that young black males teen to mid 30's tend to call each other the n word?
And is using the word Wigger as bad as the N word? Robert Byrd doesn't think so.
