You gotta love the Left. These people act as if Bush had nothing to do for his first 8 months, when in reality, he had one of the toughest starts of any president...especially when you include 9/11. Hell, Bush entered office with a deliberately hostile Democrat party on the heels of a contested election, making even getting his appointments thru a challenge.

His priority push for tax-cuts was necessary when you consider the recession and the corporate scandals that were rocking this country. From the ABM Treaty and SDI to the UN, Kyoto and the ICC, Bush had a full-plate of international issues that he was dealing with. Lost in this shuffle was the Chinese/Spy Plane crisis that some in the media even elevated to Gary Power status...as Bush had to immediately deal with an international incident.

Unlike Clinton who presided over a government shotdown, pizza parties with interns and BJs in the oval office, Bush had a much deserved vacation due after his first 8 months.
