CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- An al-Qaida-linked group posted a Web video Saturday purporting to show the bodies of two American soldiers being dragged behind a truck, then set on fire in apparent retaliation for the rape-slaying of a young Iraqi woman by U.S. troops from the same unit.
The Mujahedeen Shura Council -- an umbrella organization of insurgent groups, including al-Qaida in Iraq -- posted another video in June showing the soldiers' mutilated bodies, and claiming it killed them. It was not clear whether the video posted Saturday was a continuation of that footage, or why it was released.
It was impossible to identify the bodies, but the footage was believed to be of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, and Pfc. Thomas Tucker, 25, who went missing after being attacked by insurgents on June 16 at a checkpoint south of Baghdad. Their remains were found three days later, and the U.S. military said they had been mutilated.
The video showed masked men dragging the corpses, first by hand, then behind a truck, beheading one of them and then setting them on fire. Below the graphic footage is a subtitle: "The two soldiers belong to the same brigade of the soldier who raped our sister in Mahmoudiya."

It's horrible to contemplate in and of itself, but it's a little comfort to think they were killed instantly, rather than endure torture, burning and dragging.

This morning on FOX Kelley Wright interviewed a black pastor from Pompano Beach, Florida who was very upset, very scared about a mosque being built in his neighborhood.
He said the young black men in his neighborhood are already angry about 'life' and this is all they need, a mosque where they could be indoctrinated to terrorism.
Well, they put the Muslim seated right next to the black pastor and allowed the Muslim to shame and make fun of the pastor...
"Per Muslim ..oh no we're a religion of peace, and you're harrassing us with your protests against our mosque"...(that kind of thing)
It was totally disgusting and abominable.
The pastor had passed out 'comic books' in the neighborhood showing exactly what muslims are about....threats, scare tactics, beheadings, etc....
..and this mosque cleric was indignant that the pastor wasn't being tolerant....tolerant!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I hated to...I HAD to look at the pictures..
I feel that if our troops can go over there with the threat of that kind of attack happening to them on any given day...then the least I can do is look at some pictures..
Just like the footage of the planes hitting the Towers, we cannot forget...the dems are desperately trying to tell us that Iraq is NOT the war on Terror....sheesh.
I heard about some of the stuff that has happened in Baghdad in the last 24 hours....Muslim against Muslim violence...and I just don't understand why there aren't more countries like France that would WANT to go in there and clean up that city....
AND, Kofi Annan has NO right to complain about the conditions...because he hasn't wanted anything to do with that city...

When this story broke months ago, a cousin of Trooper Tucker stopped into FR to tell us about a memorial service and her thanks for our prayers.
You gave the reference -- "New Tucker and Menchaca Video: Bodies Desecrated by Terrorists (Jawa Report)".
One of the posters there (at that site) said that "the Crusaders deserved it".
You can see, very plainly (by looking around in the world) that the Islamics support this kind of action. They support violence, desecration of bodies, torture, overthrowing of Western society and culture and killing Christians and Jews. They have no "Geneva" that they have to be concerned about. They don't recognize it.
