Boycott Citgo Gasoline Stations

Posted on 09/21/2006 9:32:56 AM PDT by Courdeleon02

I am calling on all of you to participate in the massive boycott of Citgo Gas Stations throughout this country. Citgo is completely owned by the government of Venezuala and as such is a big revenue producer for Hugo Chavez the Dictator of that nation. Michael Savage has called on internet bloggers across this nation to participate in the boycott and to get the word out to the American people. The MSM has not and will not report the association between Chavez and Citgo. This is a good way all of us can do something to fight back against this insane monster of man.

I have not purchased CITGO gas for years. I challenge everyone to contact congress and demand legislation to cut off all oil imports from Venezuela and tied it to opening up ANWR to drilling. Let the democrats vote against this and stand with the idiot CHAVEZ!!!

"Who owns each Citgo gas station?"

If they are all indepedently owned wouldn't that make it a question of who they use a supplier and whose sign they hang up. ( A few years back I heard of a station whose owner switched from another supplier to CITGO. But I don't know if there are contract obligations nor if so how long they usually are. )

Hugo Chavez is the devil, and the gas that eminates from his body when he speaks smells like sulphur...

From the Citgo web site:

"In September, 1986, Southland sold a 50 percent interest in CITGO to Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. PDVSA acquired the remaining half of CITGO in January, 1990. "

They have some contractual obligations to sell a certain brand of gas...but as to how much oil Hugo is going to sell in the U.S. it will matter not a whit.

Didn't Chavez previously state he wasn't going to supply Citgo with any gasoline? That the Citgo dealers had to find an alternative supply or change brands.

There's a lot of information running around - but the thing is, it is scientifically proven that some gasoline brands burn cleaner than others. In fact, *every* major maker in the US *imports* Chevron gas (current cleanest-burning, but not sold anywhere near Detroit) to get their cars to pass the EPA tests.

URGENT: I have heard that CITGO is on to the boycott and is changing hundreds of stations to the new name "Petro Express". Can anyone confirm this?

Citgo is in the process of cutting a bunch of stations in the US loose on Hugo's orders; this may or may not be what you're seeing. The stations they're dumping aren't Citgo anymore, obviously.

Been boycotting Citgo for a long, long time.

Also BP/AMoco for being a huge pro-gay company.

I get my gas at Exxon/Mobil. They have a ZERO rating on gay issues from HRC, and as long as they keep it, that's where I'm going.

Ever think maybe they should reconsider where they are working, and what kind of a maniac they are working for?
