Duane 'Dog' Chapman Says Feds Sold Him Out to Mexico in Exchange for Drug Lord
Fox News ^ | 19 September 2006

Mexico - where bounty hunting is illegal - claims Chapman jumped bail after being charged with illegally detaining Luster in June 2003.

A new special about last week's arrest will air tonight (10 p.m.) on A&E.

Chapman, who is out on $300,000 bail, said on yesterday's "Today" show that if he goes to prison in Mexico, he will be killed by inmates avenging the thousands of fleeing felons he's brought to justice.

"I won't last two days," he said.

"Wrong, I would have never gone to another country and commited a serious crime."

Logic can be twisted. Right can be twisted. Comparing someone who brought back a convicted serial rapist to face raping over 80 women who he had drugged to rape to breaking a misdemeanor crime is hardly either.

With Ya on that.

Took me a whole lot of years to understand reverance and still learning.

Dog's heart is good just has to "choose" to take his intelect in his Love of the Lords' teachings to the next level.
He's in my Prayers and Bethie too.

Amen.

Dog is a decent family guy who came from a rough background and by the instilled nature of God rose above and honors his blessings and graces.

Sorry you had a post inthe middle of some off topic blitz.

Go Dog, and Bethie!

Is there a link to their site?

Gosh must be a gazzilion supporters. Probably never make it on for a support comment.

He was not there for a bounty bail per say he was going after the Germ for the REWARD on the FBI list which he lost anyway.

But recovered thanks to a media outlet.

Don't want to jump in but Christians sin small and large every day of their life.

I am not going to do a basic Sunday school here....

Just examine your own soul on the 10 commandments, 7 deadly and the Teachings of Jesus...

We ALL fall short.

Granted dragging a woman for a mile behind your Rig is a HUGE big screw up...shiver

Not directed to you but jumping in...

Let us not confuse civil Law with
those of us who live under Catholic/Christian law.

Hell of a way to pick a jury, think about it....Church/State

If you go on trial you are under civil law..State.

Dog and Rosa did not break the Law oh well yeah Civil Law, but they both stood firm in a higher standing. Their Christian faith/commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I have an Idea (lab ears flappin in the wind)

Maybe Dog and Bethie could go to the Local Bra Catholic Church and claim asylum...YaH?

Not being sarcastic as I support Dog and Bethie Chapman.

"Common sense" is not an excuse for breaking the law.

FWIW, I think Dog was right to do what he did. But now he has to face the consequences - that's what happens to criminals, even criminals we like.

Just as an aside, would you support Mexicans coming to this country and violating laws?

What about if that Mexican thought that he was doing the moral thing?

Would you give that Mexican a free pass, as you seem to want to give Dog?

I think he has a good heart, too. He seems to care about the people he takes to jail. I pray God's best for him.

"I think you are confusing Christian committing an illegal act, with doing the right thing.....Have some common sense man."

Such as in two wrongs don't make a right. He knowingly broke the law, not out of sense of consciousness but for profit...now he must pay for his crime.

True Christian compassion? LOL! He's apprehending them for doing the exact same thing he did himself. That's hypocrisy not compassion.

You've admitteed that you've never seen the show. And he never apprehended anyone who skipped bail from a third-world $hithole. I think the problem is that you seem to hold Mexico in a higher regard than I do. I think that's where we're missing each other.

A lot of this was face-to-face LONG before there was an Internet.

I'm sorry that was your experience. As with any group, there are bad eggs, even in Christianity. I'm sorry your impression was formed by bad eggs. In my experience, the great majority of Christians are great people whose lives are better because of it.

I do think that Mr. Jackson is twisting knowledge a bit out of stubborness. I'm the same way and am sometimes guilty of that myself. CWO, lemme ask you straight up, yes or no, are we better off with Luster behind bars than we were before Chapman went in?

Again, you've never seen the show. How can you claim to know Chapman's motives in this?

The fact is that Mexico didn't refuse to capture nor extradite the convicted serial rapist, he was:

1.- Living in a love hotel

2.- with a fake id (David Carrera)

3.- as an illegal alien in Mexico

4.- He speaks spanish without an accent

The DOJ didn't file an extradition request, so the mexican police wasn't even looking for him.

And as soon as they got him, he got deported
