Mexico - where bounty hunting is illegal - claims Chapman jumped bail after being charged with illegally detaining Luster in June 2003.

A new special about last week's arrest will air tonight (10 p.m.) on A&E.

Chapman, who is out on $300,000 bail, said on yesterday's "Today" show that if he goes to prison in Mexico, he will be killed by inmates avenging the thousands of fleeing felons he's brought to justice.

"I won't last two days," he said.

Dog grabbed a puke who drugged and raped women...83 charges, and was in hiding in a country that is supposed to be our friend, but he was protected because he is rich.

To add insult to injury, when Dog returned to the US with Lester, a judge denied the reward because Dog didn't apprehend him in the USA. So, Dog got no direct reward for his trouble. He got a TV program that barely gets higher ratings than a CNBC program...big deal!

Dog loves the Lord, loves people, and loves this country. It is a travesty for him to suffer more for his actions.

I think the best way to get Mexico to stop this action is for enough people to write the Mexican Tourism government bureaucrats and explain they will never spend a single dollar in Mexico for vacation.

I agree with Jim on this. The general maturity of discussion on FR has declined in the last year and a half or so. I am certainly not an innocent player in this myself. I'm questioning the faith of the subject of this thread. First he knowingly entered another country and committed a crime, then he knowingly jumped bail committing a second crime. Isn't that the whole premise of his show...catching people who jump bail? It seems this Dog fellow doesn't hold himself to the same standards he does his "clients".

Of course. However, I don't see how you can equate jumping bail here in the US versus escaping the perverted system in a 3rd world $hithole. There is a darned good chance that Chapman could be killed in Mexican prison. I would have jumped bail. You would have jumped bail.

Devout Christians generally do not go out and commit multiple felonies, particularly if the felonies in question are the sort of thing that they routinely arrest others for.

BTW, the Dog has busted bail skips from Mexico and returned them to Mexican authorities, which kind of undermines your whole "but it's so awful" argument.
