The engineering questions where pretty hard for us, some of them are "type" specific...
Funny how the board doesn't ask you any questions from your field or rate??? hehehe ;-)
I had no illusions the board would have been that nice, and to think most where my friends anyway...I'm extremely glad to this day that they didn't pull any punches!
I'm also glad I didn't wait to start my ESWS sign-offs...Started when I made 3rd, got it after I made 2nd...I was told that effort weighed heavy on my good evals back then...
My Division Chief told me it would...(See, it does you good to listen to experience...hehehe)

I'm a Fire Controlman, CIWS type.
Engineering questions are always the hardest, I had no trouble at all with the 3M (since I was a work center supervisor) or supply (I was also a supply P.O. in my division).

Take me from the intake to the exhaust, what do I see???
Grrrrrrr, heck I don't even rememeber all of that...All I do remember is basically the question...
And that was on an LM2500, "Kidd" class DDG...uggg...
I'm glad to let the new guys do that stuff now...hehehe
