Too bad they can't muster the same level of outrage over the murders committed by their brethren.

"...spread by the sword the faith he preached." The Pope need not apologize for speaking the TRUTH. When Muslims contribute something to humanity besides a history of bloody borders, mayhem, destruction and stand up to the evil within their "religion", then they can criticize the Pope or any other Christian / Jewish leader who merely points out their mendacity.

As repeatedly and clearly stated throughout Islam's "sacred" texts, Allah and his false prophet Mohammed require the faithful to fight against, subdue and humiliate, and kill unbelievers to make the world Islam.

The Pope angered Muslims not because he lied about their religion and "Ideal Man," but because he told the truth.

If Western leaders like Benedict begin to expose the Great Lie, Infidels everywhere might actually wake up to the threat posed by Islam and actually do something to defend themselves.

Undoubtedly, Muslim rage is mainly due to the fact that an Infidel publicly refused to pay the proper tribute to their murderous, pedophilic false prophet.

The riots in India and attacks on Churches in several Islamic strongholds today simply reinforce that the Pope was speaking the truth. Is there any further doubt why Lutherans and Catholics alike condemned the Mahomadens in 1530 in the Confession of Augsburg?

"He said, I quote, 'Show me just what [the Prophet] Mohammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached,"' he quoted the emperor as saying.

That question was asked in the 14th century and the response is just now coming out? Not exactly quick thinkers, are they? I haven't seen their answer, either.

I think there were Lutherans present at the Pope's address, btw, which was in connection with some kind of ecumenical activity. There were also Jewish leaders.

I hope he doesn't apologize either. The Pakistanis said they will keep protesting until he apologizes.

Thank you for posting this. The "hysterics" have shown:

They do not know how to listen.

They are overripe for the camera and newsbites.

They are rabidly against any kind of negotiation with others.

Had they truly been "gentlemen" of Islam, they would have requested an audience to discuss the matter with the Pope. Had they been learned, they would have not screamed at the Pope, they would have calmly repudiated the Pope.

The hysterics did none of these; and thereby showed themselves as "rabid" hysterics.

If these are indeed the appointed or self-appointed "spokesmen" of Islam, Islam will continue to die as a religion.

What they showed by their very words was "jihad"; not principles or good character.

I expect that Benedict XVI will do for Catholic-Lutheran relations what John Paul II did for Cathlic-Orthodox relations. I hope that he can exceed his predecessor.

"The remarks do not express correct understanding of Islam and are merely wrong and distorted beliefs being repeated in the West," Akef said in a statement...

Who better than the pope to give them a reality check. Apparently they feel that they can bully everyone and no-one should say anything. F'em.

Time for a crusade perhaps?

These creatures have become emboldened by wimps such as the UN, Eurowimps like the frogs and Spanish, liberal politicians and their media. It's not time for the Pope to be cautious but rather all civilized (ie non-muslim) leaders, to back him up, including the milquetost UN, with plain truth about this monstrous "religion".

'Show me just what [the Prophet] Mohammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached,"'

Absolute TRUTH! Even today: Slavery, treatment of women, beheading of non Muslims, killing of anyone who will not convert, killing of Christians, killing of women and children even on this day.

Muslim attacks against the United States anger me! In the past, Muslim attacks against Egypt, all of Northern Africa, Turkey, Greece, the Balkans and Spain anger me!

Without the threat to behead or convert there would be no Islam.

The Muslim treatment of women angers me! The Muslim use of slaves angers me! The total lie of the leaders of Islam angers me!

The Crusades were mounted because the Muslims were attacking Europe and the other nations throughout the region. Thank you impeller for your excellent work in Rumania. We need you today.

I want the thank the inventor of the Gatling gun. I assume its John Gatling or something. I often wondered why such a weapon was designed, it, and like the fuel air bomb, but when I see the contorted faces of these screaming 6th century koranimals it suddenly makes a lot of sense.

Or as Kipling put it

We had the Maxim gun, and they did not!

From Wikipedia:

The Gatling gun was the first highly successful rapid-repeating firearm. It was the first firearm to combine reliability, high firing rate and ease of loading into a single device. It was designed by the American inventor Richard J. Gatling, in 1861 and patented on May 9, 1862. In modern usage it typically refers to guns with a similar rotating barrel design.

Depending on how one defines the term, the Gatling gun is not the first "machine gun", despite frequent references to it as such; machine guns operate entirely on a fraction of the power of the fired cartridge, while the Gatling relies on external power (hand crank, or electric/hydraulic motor).

The slang term 'gat' for gun is derived from the Gatling gun.

Pakistan's Inerior Minister said in response to the Pope's remarks:

Anyone who describes islam as intolerant risks fomenting violence.

That's a quote!!!!

Hell, seventy-five percent of the 'protestors' probably can't even read. Their imams got them all fired up at Friday prayers! That way they won't realize how their 'religion' has destroyed their lives, and hang the imam instead!

Exactly! Why else is Christianity kept out of Saudi Arabia for instance? Because if it was allowed in, in twenty years there wouldn't be any muslims in Saudi!
