There is always "someone, somewhere" who wants you dead, to use your words. However, the majority of the people in the world do not have this sentiment. I don't believe that "Islam wants me dead".
I know Islamic people who are appalled at the events of recent history. That being said, yes, there is a segment that does want us dead. In that, you are correct. It's a numbers game. The minority muck it up for the rest of us.
