Good guy, basically -- head of the Northern Alliance and (as AQ/Taliban knew) their strongest natural leader by far. Killed on 9/9/2001 because AQ knew they'd need him out of the way.

Yep, kinda of in the mood also.
At what point does survival overcome political correctness?
When do we recognize the enemy within as well as without?
How do we fight a war with the left on the inside and working against us seemingly?
I just don't know, nor do I understand why we are are half-stepping in so many areas.

It's docudrama after all. And Cynthia McFadden at "Nightline" needs to learn the difference betweeen dramatized and fictionalized. She's such a twit.

If you are half way informed, if you half-way remember these events and these people, watching this movie is almost too intense to bear.
"We let him down" breaks my heart.

Anyone who wants to read a book about life in Afghanistan - one of the best books I've ever read in my whole life is The Kite Runner.
It's a novel but the author admits a lot of it is autobiographical. He lived in Afghanistan until the 80's and went back to find a friend.
Gripping book; I read it in one sitting.

Actually, the Bush administration isn't looking that bad. There just wasn't that much time to stop what was in progress given it was only 8 months.

They are as bad as AlQueda! Now...you just made me go and defend the DU! They are as Anti-American as Al Qaeda, but to be fair they don't go flying planes into buildings and blowing up innocent people.
It's a bad idea to water down Al Qaeda.
Now, don't ever make me defend them again. LOL.

Nah, she doesn't have to learn anything. She's got all of Katherine Hepburn's money. She just pays for cliches and cocktail party smartness.
