Fox News to Stream Original 9/11 Coverage Monday 8:30 EDT

Over the past few days, I have given a "Heads Up" to Freepers about Fox airing their original 9/11 footage on an internet link that I had bookmarked. Some of you caught it and many of you wanted to.

Well, Fox has made it official. They will air the broadcast tommorrow morning starting at 8:30 a.m. EDT and it will be time synched to the original events.

The link given above does not go to a website other than their main one, so you have to tune in tomorrow to get their actual link.

However, if I were a betting man, I'd bet they will use the same one that they have used the past few days. Those links are given below:

My understanding about the roof is that the top door, giving access to the roof was locked. A helicopter can only take 5 people at a time off the roof at a time, 1/2 an hour for each load, while the stairs can do hundreds and hundreds.

The really amazing fact of that day that isn't obvious now is that FDNY has *never* had a high rise collapse due to fire, and expected to put out the fire in a standing building.

They didn't know that both towers had their sprinkler system knocked out. They didn't know how big the planes where, how much fuel they had, how hot things burned, etc.

I wasn't thinking about the helicopters landing on the roof...but hovering over the Towers at the edge...so that the flex ladders could be grabbed by those poor people.

I know it's easier said than done, but heck, if the alternative is burning or jumping to certain death...just grab on the ladder, close your eyes and live to see tomorrow.

I'm watching Inside the Towers here at home on my lunch break. Apparently, there was no official plan for helicopter rescues and the conditions were considered too dangerous to attempt it. Helicopters were forbidden to approach the towers. I assume the heat and fumes are what made the approach impossible.

Flying a helicopter into that maelstrom , much less trying to pick up terrified civilians would mean certain death for the aircrew.

I'm not a pilot but my understanding of the physics of non fixed wing aircraft is that they neede stable air pressure so the rotars can "push" the craft upwards. Thus due to unstable conditions it wouldn't be able to fly safety in the tremendous turbulence caused by the fires below. Kinda like kite in a chimney flue.

Ted's wife Barbara was on the flight that hit the Pentagon. She spoke to Ted a couple times from the flight. She was also a FReeper.
